I couldn't agree more! If you are born in this country surely you should be loyal to it? I am not saying that the UK is perfect; far from it, but becoming a terrorist is an act of treason. People could be hanged for treason until fairly recently, yet many people arrested in connection with terrorist offences are released without charge. There must have been a reason for them to have been arrested in the first place. This is a new type of war in which we cannot recognise the enemy living amongst us. At least in past wars citizens of this country were all on the same side!

Being Irish I am surprised you do not recognise the link between terror organisations and immigrants. But you have asked a very powerful question? Why do British citizens want to bomb Britain? I do not think we know the answer but we should consider a few areas of concern:
1. Do we make it easy for new immigrants to fully enjoy the country they have come to. The UK could make it better for new immigrants,
2. Do we respect their religion? Do we understand it. I do not believe we understand Islam and too often it associated, wrongly, with terrorism.
3. Do we follow a fair, reasonable and tolerant foreign policy. Unfortunately we have followed the stupid and one sided US foreign policy.
If you are told often enough that you are bad, that your religion is of no value and you see your fellow Muslims throughout the world being treated like **** then you react. Too many young men have reacted wrongly and given their lives for the wrong reason. We need to do more to win their hearts and minds. Bombs and bullets do not win hearts and mind.

Islam does not preach hatred and killing. Thats what the media tells you. Did you know that the first BLACK slave ever to be freed was by ISLAM? Did you know that Islam gave women the right to own their own property 1400 years ago which is a right that has only just been given to women in the west less than 100 years ago. Don't listen to the media. Do your own research. I am sure that if Bush and Blair stopped interfering with the middle-east, the war would end. Look at Iran, why are they interfering. LEAVE THEM ALONE. Terrorism is wrong. REMEMBER BUSH AND BLAIR ARE ALSO TERRORISTS. Anyone that kills or orders killing are terrorists.

I think the point here is, that their parents who settled here, appreciate what this country has to offer them. The children have never known the poverty and squalor of their origins. They hear how great the homeland is, and how the west is the enemy, from the mad imams and the like, and get brain washed by the constant rubbish these people preach.
Perhaps the parents should send them back to their home villages at a young age, to see how they grew up. Perhaps then they would appreciate us more, and stop trying to destroy the hands that feed them!

They teach it in their Mosques, and some of their families do also, it is also a culture clash, The way they are raised clashes, with the culture they are living in, They don't want their women, watching our women on TV looking and acting like sluts, you no like Paris Hilton acts. they don't want us to export our sluttie films and filthy music like rap music. They don't want every other word their children speak, to be foul language, or constantly talking about sex and seeing porn films and pictures. They want the western way of freedom, but they don't want the culture that comes with it. And I don't blame them for that, I wouldn't want my kids exposed to that stuff either. Between what the radical leaders teach them and what the western countries teach them, maybe some just can't cope with the clash. But it is also the policies of the British and American governments in the Middle East. And it is also the company they keep, I am sure they have radical Islamic recruiter's every where.

I know, the problem is that there families brainwash them. Even though they are British, have lived here for however many years they are brought up on there culture because of there families. We should be tougher and stand up for our beliefs and put our foot down. I have had enough of it and i know i'm not the only one.

Turning into a "terrorist" is probably similar into becoming suicidal and depressed, except that it involves a collective and a whole lot of brainwashing.
Lets face it, if they had been happy they wouldn't have turned to fantasy beliefs about a "jihad" against america.
