That on this particular board, people are happy to dish a little cr@p on here, but quite unwilling to taste a little back themselves.... some of my questions MAY have been a little risque, but why would you allow yourselves to be whipped up into a frenzy by a complete stranger, why bite? .... Is the ability to understand sarcasm or have the ability to laugh at yourselves now completely dead?

Valmay, I'm asking in the military section as this is where most of the personality bypass victims seem to be and that some of my more "offensive" questions were posted here. On every other board, people seem quite happy to laugh along... on here...well forget it!

In my opinion the reason is most of the people that come here and respond have no clue about the military and what they do, as do most who come here and ask questions.
So when someone asks a question that appears to have no basis people respond rather rudely or in some ranting manner, or when they think they know the answer they do the same.
Another reason is that when messing with military you are pushing around political views and ideals and people feel strongly about those and tend to get there feathers ruffled.
Then again maybe it is you who is happy to dish crap and not taste it as evident by this question!
As for me I could really careless, If I want to offer a strong "opinion" I will and if I want to take it "lightly" I will. That is my option.
I do laugh at some of the questions and many of the answers though, but some concern me greatly. It is scary to live in a country of misinformed people.

I've noticed a few questions on here that many posters have read wrong and get all annoyed at the question only because they read it wrong the posts are funny but the question got reported.
Some people don't get a joke and sarcasm is hard to write down if i was speaking sarcastic you'd pick up before reading .

Because you seem happy to stick the knife into all Military on here just to get a reaction from some sad loser who is under some deluded impression that he stands a chance with you.To sad case : get some respect man and tell this witch where to go.You must be ex forces because if you are still serving you are really selling your comrades short by dancing to her tune.

Why is it people put so much importance on themselves and what they have to say over what others say? Do I know you? Of course not, and why would you take any answer from this board seriously? Most on this board, including myself, ask for the answers they get, sarcastic or not. No big thing at all.

Ellie - just keep on doing what you do best. Unfortunately low IQ usually equates with lack of humour so rise above it.
I should really take my own advice sometimes I know - I'm amazed at how much I allow myself to get wound up.
Believe me - lots of people like your questions and answers - the more risque the better.

Maybe because your questions touch a sensitive area. Maybe because people have grown more intolerant about things that they percieve as stupid, ignorant or otherwise something that should be generally known. Maybe it's because people ask a question, then select an answer that just reinforces their own jaded personal view.
Personally, if I find a question stupid, I ignore it. If I find a question that is asked in all honesty, I will answer it to the best of my ablility.

Military is a profession for the dedicated and serious people.
There is a lot of humor in uniform but they take their profession very seriously, even after retirement.
So here you must be talking sense as life is a serious affair with soldiers even when it is full of fun and joy.
Only the soldiers can understand it.

Some of the good folk on "Answers" are mercifully free from the ravages of intelligence.This denies them the ability to understand the basic functions needed for being a balanced human being, I love a good argument, especially with some of the humourless b*stards you get on this forum. *;*
