I am a female from australia and i have 15, 000 to 20,000 to spend on a car and i want something economical on petrol.any suggestions??
im thinking new honda civic, or mazda 3....

In terms of fuel economy at that price, the Toyota Aygo would be pretty hard to surpass. It would also be the most reliable amd durable your money will buy. I don't know if they offer them in Australia and NZ yet though, they've just come out. A close second would be the Daihatsu Sirion - also a Toyota product, pretty much a voucher for no-trouble ownership. Looks good, too. Another incredible new car at that price would be the Toyota Yaris (and no, I'm not a Toyota dealer - I just read the magazines and surveys, and that brand just outdoes them all). And then there's the Nissan Micra, beautiful car, and also gives you something like 5 Litres per 100 km (Aygo though: more like 4). But not entirely as reliable as the Toyotas and Daihatsus (still pretty amazing in comparison to most cars, but if ou can get the best, why not go for it?).

The new honda civic is a very nice car.easy to drive especailly in the automatic paddle shift version and also being a honda it is reliable.also it has got great futuristic interiors .It has got a great ride too.

I wish i had that much! lol i am in need of a car also! and i have found that if you can or want to get a second hand car! depending on where you are in aus there are some great second hand cars! Toyota rav4's are great on fuel!

Hondas are very low maintenance and very fuel efficient.Great choice. Plus, they have excellent trade in value when you decide to buy another new vehicle.
