lack of imagination :-) I have the same exactly and ridiculously long name as my father and grandfather (I have ten words in my name, and nope, I'm not kidding !!!) All I know is if there is one name my kids are NOT getting it is mine :-) I've gone through life taking an extra 30 minutes filling out official forms while at the DMV and places like that because of my name :-) Enough is enough !

The hospital would not allow my parents to take me out of the hospital without giving them a name to put on the birth certificate and so on the last day before they checked me out of the hospital they gave me the first male name they heard someone use on the television in the hospital room. Fortunately, it was Festus who was talking to Sheriff Dillon and not the other way around.

My name is Kristin Nicole. Kristin (this if for the 30+ yr olds) is from the tv show Dallas. For those of you still wondering about the cliffhanger of 1980 yes it was I Kristin, who shot JR Ewing. Nicole derived from another soap (daytime) that my mother watched.
My son. John Ray- John is my dad's and my 1/2 brothers name. My dad passed away in 1999. Ray is my hubbys middle name, and his dad's and hubbys grandpa's name is Raymond Ray (no kidding)
My daughter Deborah Brianne- In hubbys family on his mom's side every other generation the first girl is named Deborah (mom's name too) I chose Brianne cause I liked it and thought it was pretty and we call her Brianne or Bree to not get hubby's mom and her confused but she is sometimes called Little Debbie.
My sister got her name from our brother. My brother was born first Michael Dean.. 3 yrs later my sister Deana Michelle came into the world.

My first name is my great aunt's name and my middle name is my grandmother's name. My parents were big on family names, my sisters both have family names as well. I gave my daughter a family name for her middle name. I think it's nice, it gives us roots.

My father was drunk. Truly. It has been a bone of contention all my life. Some people call me the name my mother chose and others call me the name on my birth certificate.
I have to say I think if someone rocks up at the registry office smelling strongly of alcohol, they should tell him to come back when he sobered up.

I was named after my mothers grand mother for my first name, and my dad just didn't have any better name for a girl than "lee" as a middle name, since he wanted boys.

hateful inlaws brought together, in one child,me! so i am named after both my grand mothers. so now there is more reason to be hateful, one name is not first.
you cannot win when using two people names, whether the names are for one child or more than one, someone will have injured feelings because their name was not givin first.
