Let her know you felt bad after you left and then ask if she would have liked it if you would have waited with her. If she says yes, tell her next time you will.

As a cab driver, let me say that if you kept your driver waiting, or sent him on his way, you would owe HIM an apology. Our time is money, and the more time spent loitering with the meter off, the less we make. Now, be that as it may, when I drop off a female passenger before dawn, I almost always remain at the drop off location until I have seen the passenger safely enter her premises.
In the future, if faced with this situation, either wait to call for a cab until such time as you colleague has been picked up, or have the cabbie start his meter, and pay him properly for his time.
If you work in an urban high crime area, you owe her an apology. If you work in a safe neighborhood, and all you committed was a breach of etiquette, then none is required. However, a proper gentleman would make sure that she's not left alone next time.

You can apologize if it'll make you feel better, but I don't think it's necessary because you needed a cab to get home.
You couldn't let it go by just because she was still waiting.
Cabs won't wait around like a boyfriend would, so don't promise to wait until she gets a ride next time because then you'll be the one left alone!
It's more dangerous for you to be standing there alone with
no one coming for you.
No one will know if you go missing until hours later.
Stay safe. : )

Not sure an apology is required, as she didn't specifically ask you to wait until her boyfriend turned. To avoid awarkward situation, and to make you feel better, just say sorry that your cab arrived before her boyfriend, and glad she was ok, as you had worried a bit about leaving her. Not too over the top and shows you cared about her.

No. Cabs cost money, theres no point paying to wait for someone to turn up just to give the girl some company.

You don't really owe her an apology since you did nothing wrong. The cab would not have waited for you. You can tell her you felt bad leaving her there and see how she reacts. Chances are she didn't give it another thought. You didn't breech an etiquette given the circumstances in my opinion.

If you called the cab and it came, you would have been paying for the time it took her BF to get there so you would leave at the same time. I don't think you did anything wrong.

An apology would be nice, but it's not required.
It is a good idea to make sure girls on their own get somewhere safely.. if it's possible to organise it so you guys both get picked up at the same time in future, it would be a smart thing to do.
These days, you never can be too careful.

is the girl ok??? i mean ....i think u should apologize...it is not reallly required though.but the girl was all alone and she is a girl you know.you could have waited with her after all.it would'nt make such a big deal would it.any way you must be having stuff to do...but the girl must have felt really unsafe standing there all by her self.i think you owe her an apology.

Ithink that maybe it would have been a good idea to wait with her. So next time do so. However, the past is the past, but if you do feel bad, and only you can know that, casually ask if she would like you to wait with her the next time.
