They do not believe in God and have no faith. Take me for example, I am really very blessed, I think. I admire God's Creation and sometimes talk to God in prayer. In short, I love the Church of Christ and she loves me.
May my answer bless you. Hallelujah!

Hi Carl,
true joy comes from knowing Jesus and it is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Joy is an inner condition that is not just "always happy" but it is an inner trust and confidence in God sometimes in the face of some of life's most difficult and challenging situations.
It's not always easy to discern whether someone has real joy or not. Yes, often we can identify those who truly lack joy and that's a great chance to share the joy that is within you because of Christ with them. But it's not really something for us to judge. i have believing friends who have gone through some harsh things that they still need time for God to heal them.
Hope that helps,
Nickster

.Too much emphasis on materialism and not enough leisure time! You spend most of your time working to pay the bills, the rest of the time you have left you have to do chores.I know I am exhausted!!!! Working ,grocery shopping,[ugh!] cleaning the house ,laundry, making repairs on the house, taking the car to the shop, washing and coloring my hair, doing my nails, doing yard work.Sorting junk mail, paying bills and balancing the check book.Trying to look sexy after ALLTHIS CRAP when my guy says he wants to makeout when he gets home tonight. Then finally when you do have time for a vacation, all you have is MORE chores, like packing,etc.etc.etc.I don't think the human race was meant to live like this.It is the money system, that threw us off.I need to give it all up and live in a trailer or shack somewhere in the country and go on disability or welfare or both. Then I can go back to my art work and play the piano and read great books ,and play with my animals and love, and find joy in the nature around me!

I think it might be because many people feel that they ever have enough. People, at least in the USA, will work two jobs to try to get the "things" we feel we need or want and that acquiring those "things" will bring happiness. People are willing to work a good deal of overtime or work two jobs in an attempt to get the "extras" we want in life. Working two jobs takes too much of our time and leaves little time for family, R & R. etc. to enjoy life. We never seem to feel we have enough. People never seem to be satisified. We keep reaching for that "pie in the sky" And that continual reaching deprives us of the happiness we are wanting to find. Our values seem to depend upon money, posessions, and status. Nothing wrong with wanting and trying to be successful . But success doesn't have to depend on "things."

they lack true joy because they lack the knowledge and understanding about their creator. plus, look at the state of this world. everything is turning into a warlike state all over the world. it is all anyone can think about.

because of th way the government has made scociety.
its all about money and power. its all rush rush rush.....work work work....to make someone else rich and powerful. no one has the time to just enjoy life. no one has the time to just get to know outher people. so no one has the time for love, true happiness is love, and time to appreciate nature. instead of being mad when your stuck in a traffic jam....take in the scenery. sing to the radio,,,talk to your children or spouse if they are with you in the car... see whats really important.
thats just my oppinion.

And who are you to judge that I am lacking joy?
Is this another one of your attempts to suggest that only people of YOUR faith experience joy?
Stop trying to brand us with your brush, we dont want it thank you very much!
