go for a dog as they are the most loyal and faithful creatures. if u are alone, choose a labrador, unsafe, then german shepherd. these two are the best breeds among all dogs.

It's up to your individual preference. It would be better if you could volunteer with SPCA or something and try handling different animals as pets and see where you go from there.
They have this adoption scheme whereby you house animals who are recovering and maybe you will understand the commitment and patience you need to have a pet before you go out and get one cuz if you decide it's too much work, than it will be quite pitiful for the pet and you yourself will feel guilty about it.

Cats and rabbits are very soft..dogs are satiny or fluffy or stiff haired.. Horses are smooth as silk in the summer, and most are fuzzy in the winter..All are wonderful to pet! The most interesting animal to pet is an emu.. I never get tired of feeling their strange hair/feathers..

Pet domestic ones if you are scared of ticks and fleas in strays.
Dosmestic ones also tend to be be more docile but this don't guarantee that they won't bite/ be aggressive

Annie L's answer is great. just to function, some thing chinchillas want that hamsters dont are sand baths. im not very conscious of them so look them up, yet chinchillas want them. chinchillas additionally stay plenty longer than hamsters and wont chew or smell plenty. nicely, even though you get, stable good fortune!
