is it possible for a 14 year old boy to go out into the wood and see God and/or Jesus and start a successful religion?

there really is a religion that got its start this way in the U.S. in the 1800's...

If he really saw God and/or Jesus, and God and/or Jesus wanted him to start a religion...then I guess he'd be able to start a successful religion. God would make sure he was successful.
If he is just making up the story...there are still plenty of people in the world looking for another answer, a way they can feel good about themselves, and/or something to fill a religious or spiritual void in their life...so I guess it's possible.

Well, it must be. Didn't the Mormons do it? (I think it was them, I could be wrong though) Why are you asking? - Do you want to go into the woods and start your own religion? If you tell me you saw God, I'm not going to believe you! (No man may look upon God and live). Oh well, have fun and enjoy yourself with all your little forest friends!

God knows what, but the thought expressed in the question is positive and encouraging. There are mythological tales, in many other religions too, expressing similar views.

This is the age where we are warned to watch out for people saying the Jesus is here or over here. So it would be hard to believe when Jesus says that all will know when He returns.Sorry

Like the Mormons say happened with that guy. And he said God told him everything. Weird. But obviously it works. There are millions out there waiting to latch on to something new.

Why not? But this boy should be sure that this is not his imagination. What concerns religion we've got Christianity. Know one thing the Bible never lies, a pastor can be mistaken, but the Bible never.

it is possible............. but why u wanted to do ?.................besides we have these many religions, ofcourse all r successful,since each religion is having number of followers. why again new one? the competition will grow.
