hahah ............. thats one of the most absurd myths, i have heard abt Muslim men. Only ALLAH (GOD) have the Power of Life and Death over All. No One has that kind of power. But Yes, Muslim men have been given the responsiblity of their women, which is kinda additional task on men, but anyways, Muslim men are responsible to support their women in all sorts of manner (whether financially or physically), but Muslim women are free from all such responsibilities, and they are Only responsible for themselves and No One else. the answer to ur question lies in the verse of the Quran,"women shall hav the same rights over men as men hav over them"
the women has right to end or begin a marriage

the best among u is the one who is best towards his wife"yes the husband applys the duty of the leader of the household becuz a man has more leadership qualities than the women.
You see than it gets balanced becuz the wife as a mom has 3 times more right tan the father!!

From what I understand yes you are correct.The man holds all power over the women.It's sad I know,because they don't even realize that they all came from a woman.I have many muslim people working under me and most of them are women.They have told me themselves that in their home country they are susposed to be stupid ,submissive,married and under male control otherwise they could be subject to death penalty.The woman is only considered of value if the man says she is.THANK GOD FOR THE USA.
