Some form of a Higher Power I think is beneficial to most people, but no I don't think religion is needed especially if you don't follow the guidelines.......Society is a complete mess right now in my opinion, killing another human being isn't the answer to anything. I think alot has to do with upbringing . Where are the parents? to all these messed up people....I'm not blaming it all on the parents, but I think alot of it goes back that....also.. There's too much political correctness B.S. going on in the U.S....We all have choices in this world, and each and everyone of us should be accountable for your actions, take some responsibility for yourself and quit blaming others.
I have way more compassion for an animal than any human on this earth.....you know why??? because they're innocent!!!

Sadly, your reference is inaccurate. Animals are driven by survival instincts and they have in fact been known to attack humans. I don't remember his legal name, but there was this guy (real fruity tree-hugger if you ask me) who went by the moniker "Grizly Man" because he would go out to some small island off the coast of Alaska and document grizly bears. He actually went so far as to be a part of their community. Or he tried to anyway. On one expidition he took his wife and was inadvertantly eaten (litterally) by one of the bears.
Animals do attack humans occasionally. They also attack other animals. Most any species on earth is known to fight other species for food and to remain uneaten itself and even fight it's own species in an attempt to mantain it's mate or territory. It's only a misconception that animals are benign and peaceful.
Humans are no different. We will violently (if necessary) defend our beliefs, our families, land, properties, country... You name it. It's animal nature. It's human nature. It's the law of survival and of self preservation and it is the highest law.

A better wording of your question might be "Animals are not aggressors, unlike Man. Why does religion cause violence and aggresion?" And it doesn't. Religion is completely irrelevant in your question. Man is cruel as human nature dictates.
But no, religion is not necessary.

Good point dude,
we people become cruel, sinful because the devils are after us.
Demons have nothing to do with the beasts
...
And of course religion is necessary, just because our hearts shall be satisfied and hearts never say lies.
Animals life consists of eating, breeding,..etc.
But do we humans just animals ? NO,
Necessity to religion ? YES

Yeah, but they just live to survive. they live to eat, drink, sleep & reproduce. but, do they do any good for the welfare of their society (don't talk abt lion king). Actually, ALLAH (GOD) has prescribed a simple way of life for them, which is Not the case in humans, as we got Free Will, we have the Power to Reason, we live in a civilized world Not a jungle. we are more sophisticated and complex than them, so we need a way of life to follow, and that way of Life comes from Religion. Peace to All.

I am sorry but animals do not have intellect but ony instincts.God did not created animals similar to human
You can not compare animals and men. Too much differences initially.
Religion is needed to make people follow the rules, to be able to distinguish what is good what is bad.

Religion will not save this world, but Christ can. By the way, some animals will eat us if given the opportunity.

What about the Sydney funnel web spider or the Jack Jumper and ant from Tazmania. These creatures need no provocation from man to attack. So you logic, and theory are flawed. You must base your opinions on another premise.

Animals may not have malice, but many can and do harm people. More to your point, religion may not keep many people from being mean and cruel, but would it's absence do so any better?

There is only one God.
Lord Jesus Christ and the Father art one. No one can come to the Father but through Lord Jesus Christ. How do we know? FAITH is the answer. True, devout Christians do not see to believe;they believe in order to see. Read the Holy Bible( KJV) to find out more.
Accept Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior.Admire the beauty of God's Creation. Obey the 10 Commandments. Talk to God in prayer everyday. Be baptized.
May my answer bless you. Hallelujah!
