A number of possibilities exist for the symptoms you describe. The first one is that your body is not coping well with the bad news. You describe some of the symptoms of shock common to physical injuries; mental injuries may cause the same symptoms. Make sure you drink plenty of water and avoid caffeinated drinks for a day or two.

If you take any type of medication, one possibility is that you forgot you took your medicine and then later took it again.

If you received the news before you ate your meals, and you still have not eaten, your blood sugar may be low. Eat something to see if this helps eliminate the symptom.

Dehydration may also cause some of the symptoms. Make sure you drink plenty of water. Avoid drinks with a high level of sodium and caffeine.

My final option is that you have a bug of some sort.

Good luck!

I'm not a doctor or anything, but it could just be your body's reaction to the stress of the upsetting news. However, I wouldn't think it would last so long...Maybe you have fever and you are, coincidentally, sick at the same time that you got the bad news. Stress can lower your body's immune system, but not instantly. Hmmmm....if you're not feeling better soon, a visit to the doctor might be a good idea.

Go running that always fixes me, whenever someone breaks my heart for whatever reason, that and drumming.

Just breathe find your center, talk to a friend and have some tea or something nice to drink.

If you are still freaking out in a few days...see a doctor for a check up.

Well, maybe you forgot to eat and have low blood sugar. It could be your adrenaline reacting to this news has upset your body chemistry. You could be borderline diabetic and might want to go to a doctor to get checked for diabetes.
