Don't say what you have faith in. Think about it and come up with your own answer. Heck, we can all read the bible. Quoting it only makes you a sheep in humans clothing. I hope you are not afraid to question your own beliefs!!!

(All faiths are more than welcome to chime in... In fact you are encouraged!)

Jesus was definitely not obedient. He died as a punishment by God. He was killed by Romans as because of his deeds.

The Lord Jesus, Yeshua the Messiah, took my place of punishment and deliverance from hell on the Cross of Calvary in obedience to His Heavenly and OUR Heavenly Father, Yahweh.
He came to seek and save those who were lost.....on the way to hell.
I am not for sure He came to die for us. That decision was made perhaps along the way and revealed to Him.
I am sure Yahweh considered every other option.

Being the Lamb of the Bible was the only way we could be saved from eternal fire in an UNGODLY place.

By the way, my faith was good enough for Paul and Silas so it is good enough for you.
Heck, we can all read the Bible, but not all understand it.

I stand convicted as a sheep in humans' clothing following the Lamb of God that took away the sins of the World. I quote from conviction.

He knew that he was supposed to follow peace and let the religious leaders kill him; he did not fight back or even verbally defend himself....The reason being...His death showed us who the murderers are....the hateful religious leaders.

He did not die for our sins...He died because of religion's evil jealous nature....Christianity has made Christ the sacrificial lamb, thus practicing human sacrifice....

I have done a study of this throughout the Bible...It is a gross error and was made immediately upon his death by Peter and Paul who took their Jewish religious beliefs and transferred that logic to the death of Christ....That concept started the world's largest religion ever and it is not founded on truth...He was murdered and Christians rejoice over that....How sick can you be?

Dear Mypublicdent,

Jesus died for both. Jesus set the example of what it means to follow the Father's will. That's why in the gospels when he knew the pain of the crucifixion and pain of bearing the sins of the world- and he asked His Father to remove it- but not his will but the Father's will.

Jesus death did pay for man's sins and did demonstrate his love for man. It is not just Jesus' death that matters but also his perfect obedient life. He says if you've seen Jesus you've seen the Father. In Jesus we see God's perfect love, mercy, kindness, compassion for people.

So both. Jesus died for my sins- but Jesus also shows how to be obedient to our heavenly Father.

Hope that helps,

Nickster

I have always believed in both concepts. He died for each one of us as if there were only one of us... and he was obedient to His Father. In his humanity, accepting death on a cross was extremely difficult.

Both - Jesus died to save me and you, all of humanity from sin and our sinful nature, but he also died in obedience to God the Father.

mypublicident,
You can shove your opinion about me using scriptures. If that was offensive, good.

I wasn't going to use any scriptures, because it's obvious what the answer is. And unless you are pretending, you don't know the scriptures.

The answer is both. And it didn't have to take a lot of thought to get the answer either.

You are kind of self-centered?

I've always said Jesus was spineless. God told him to die and he said "yes sir!". It was obedience, not love.
