Ok, so it's from The Book of Five Rings, by Miyamoto Musashi..............but do you think Jesus would approve?

I think most will agree, it is, at the least, a great start to the understanding of the Way. I have no doubt, that Jesus would want you to understand these ways....

most of this is what Christ taught, just in different wording. it is still the same attitude.

Second: Diligently pursue the path....if the path was Jesus, then yes

Third; Cultivate a wid range of interests in the arts - if God leads you to do so

Fourth; Be knowledgeable in a variety of occupations - not necessarily

Fifth; Be discrete regarding one's commercial dealings. - yes

Sixth; Nurture the ability to perceive the truth in all matters. - definitely

Seventh; Percieve that which cannot be seen with the eye. - in a spiritual sense

Eighth; Do not be negligent, even in trifling matters. - yes

Ninth; Do not engage in usless activity. - yes

I don't believe he would have. Although none of these things are harmfull or sinful, they are things that one would seek in vain. His whole purpose was to bring us into a relationship with the Father. Not a church, or a group, but GOD
