Lots of Christians believe differently than the mainstream churches.
Official church creeds and statements of faith are rarely accurate but they always seem to be there reflecting one man's or one council's understanding of the Bible.
In my case I generally agree with Swedenborg's theology but no major church has been able to absorb Swedenborg's Universal Theology of the New Jerusalem because of previously written creeds and statements of faith.

Organized religion has a tendency of pitting people against each other and causing wars and chaos; this goes directly against GOD's will. Seek spirituality through prayer and good works!

Organised religion is becoming a lot like organised crime, at the same time more are turning to organised religion because they are becoming like social clubs.

yes i do think they are...and its not because they are turning away from god, as much as it is they are turning away from the "organized" part of religion...people are searching for "spirituality" and it is sometimes hard to see from the outsiders perspective, in a church setting...i think that a lot of people are searching for god though...most people are. i think also that the introspective part of spirituality is really a very important ingredient in finding peace...and people are starting to understand that...without self awareness and self love,there can be no inner peace...its the nature of the human animal...

That's what the numbers show. All major denominations are loosing members. People are more able to find spirtuality with friends, in nature and by reading and thinking. I think it's a good thing as organized relegion has gone beyond what it is intended to accomplish.

Organized religion is the source of most of the world's troubles. People can believe and do what they feel is best, I know I have no use for a church.

To much hypocrisy in organized religions and to much give ,give ,give.
Looking for more simpler religious ideas that make more sense for day to day living.

people today are lazy and want their religion in the fast lane...if they had a belief with drive thrus.. they would be there
well Jim C lot of us didnt get molested by our daddies so life is good and i dont have to run around bashing religion..i could care less

yes i do...or mabey they always have and just now are comming out and addmitting it. people are free thinkers more today than before. things today are more accepted and less shocking to people so people aret as afraid to say hey!!!!i dont think this or that is right.
