Only some Christians label this music (I think you mean heavy metal) as anti-Christian. All that this shows is that there are unreasonable people in all aspects of human activity. Quite often these people are the same ones who talked about hearing Satanic messages when some type of music or other is played backward. It is really very bizarre. I mean, really, who listens to music backward? How do you even do it? Are there backward playing CD and record players available in church basements or something? And even if it were true that when they managed to play music backward, the garbled message that you hear (and I've heard their "evidence") has to be completely subjectively interpreted. I think that people can, and do, perceive Satanic images and messages everywhere, but that is a fruit of their perception. People can, and do, perceive divine images and messages everywhere, but that is a fruit of their perception. I think that one has to be careful about people who perceive Satan everywhere. Remember to judge things by their fruit, about people who live in glass houses. In any case, if something needs to be heard or read backward in order to be understood, doesn't that leave the Bible open to the same thing? So are we to conclude that the many mentions of "lord god" are really talking about a funny dog?
BTW, although I am not a Christian, I am not trying to be disrespectful of Christians. I am only trying to urge people to a just and tolerant centre position.

It is not the music, it is the lyrics and the hype. If the lyrics are Anti-Christ and the band promotes themselves as Satanic, then it is rather obvious. There are Christian groups that play that heavy metal music but with Christian lyrics and promotions, and are not labeled "Anti-Christ".

easy. take a bunch of conservative asshats, put your CD i nthe cd player and play it. if they dont like it its labeled antichrist. why?
anything the christian people dislike must be the polar opposite of what they like. since they like everything holy and spiritual its safe to assume that what they dont like is evil and satanic. therefore if they dont like it its immediately labeled satanic.
thats just how it is. fortunately the music also scares the crap out of them so feel free to blast the volume and look at them angeily the next time you pull up to them at a red light.
