Does she like me?

Ok here's the story, Currently, I am dating this japanese girl (she's a colleague). I went out for lunch with her once and I gave her flowers. When I asked her for a second "date", she refused or she would confirm with me later but she'll never reply. So, 1 night I confessed to her that I like her. The following week, her attitude towards me was much better and she also agreed to give me a "chance". She also said she will be giving my sister a "yukata" (japanese bath/summer robe). We've been out together for only 3 dates so far and we do have language difficulties because her English is bad and so is my Japanese. But when I'm out with her, sometimes she seems really happy and sometimes she gives me that sad look. I really want to start a serious relationship with her but I do not know what she wants exactly. My mum will also be coming to Japan next month and she had agreed to join us for dinner. I kinda confused and lost because this is the first time I'm dating a Japanese girl.

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?

First, get a book to help you better learn her language, tell her you would like to get together and trade languages, a date naming things in each others language could be fun and a real interesting way to get to know each other. Start out simple with colors, physical features and compare them to her. I don't think she is NOT interested in you, she gave you another chance. I imagine she is more scared than anything, its not always an easy adjustment even with dating learning about different people, cultures and their beliefs. If you are genuinely serious about this girl. Show her it is her you want and not just some jock that will end up treating her like a jerk by fishing for her goods. Isnt there a web program that can confert english to japanese and vice versa? This way you can tell her you feel and let her respond.
if not- isnt there somewhere that can write the letter in Japansese for you?
Her "seeming" really happy- isnt always good enough- you need to talk mroe before you can get serouos.

jap gals or white gals - they are all the same. they think similarly when it comes to dating...so either she start learnin to speak proper english or u start learnin to speak proper jap, or there wont be much of a chance with her cos u 2 cant carry out a meaningful conversation...as for her liking u well, cant really say much there but i think she is just giving herself time to see what u have to offer her...gd luck
