Roads are not straight for a reason. Some turn to avoid Farmland or other land that people own for whatever reason. Interstate and highways are not straight because as you drive miles on end you get focused and "auto-pilot" kicks in. When a turn does come in the road to avoid a river, mountain or something, people don't turn and crash. They get hypnotized by the long straight roads, so to avoid that, curves and turns are in road that otherwise could be straight for hundreds of miles.
Infrastructure not lasting is a product of capitalism and normal wear and tear. If I were to create a shoe that didn't wear out, was comfortable and could be wore anywhere, how many would you buy? One... How many others would you need if it was all you needed. Planned obsolescence. It's designed to wear out so that worker will continue to have jobs. If it was built right the first time, no need for repairs.

Best talents is not true, we may be doing good abroad because we come from a highly competitive environment. We still don't think big and for minor gains we let our nation suffer.
We have all the world's reasons to be lazy with work and people with power concentrate on accumulating rather than putting effort on improving the things. Then there is a feedback of burgeoning population which only increases hunger, competition and resource crunch.
We lack both vision as well as +ve energy at most of the levels when it comes to development of nation. We may try to decorate our houses and let the rest of nation be dump yard. Thats how it is.

Might you give us an example of what it is that you think is poorly built? If you are not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.
Why is spelled w-h-y. And put a question mark after your questions.
And you have what talents, exactly?
Before you solve a problem, you have to identify exactly what's wrong, what's right, and then formulate a plan, get the necessary parties to agree, and much more. If you haven't finished your schooling, get back to your books, do your homework, and focus on your role in India's future, or the global future, wherever you choose to make yourself useful.

We do have talent, but it is lost in politics and the bribery so Rep. so and so can pad the family bank account while brother Joe builds a tunnel that isn't worth the dirt that was removed to build it.
