Simple- as we grow we are taught to the contrary. Sure, our parents tell us that if we believe we can do anything, the same as our Preists ( or other Holy People) and Leaders (teachers as well as Gonvernment).
We see so much the supports that simply having faith isn't enough.. and so, we stop relying on our faith so much, and relying more on ourselves. This wouldn't be a problem, but alot of us DO doubt ourselves, for various reasons. A good deal of it though, stems from poor attitudes perpetuated by Social Stipulations that insist we have to live up to a certain image- and if we don't, we are powerless to do anything, and are incapable of the smallest tasks.
Why is it, do you think, the Famous don't have such a hard time? Because thay have the means to fit into those Social Ideals, those diblitating stipulations that we make ourselves by agreeing on them as a whole, and therefore, they feel the power of their faith, even if it be in just their own abilities.

The corruption of ones soul. It begins very early. As a young child we have not been subjected to the ugly ness that surrounds our society's. A baby knows not of lies and hate. These things are learned. And the further we get from our purity's of being an infant, the more untrusting, dirty, and corrupt we become. We see things happening to people and the world all around us. If we see nothing but crime and hate everywhere how can we believe that it does not exist? How can we trust that it will not happen to us . If as a baby I have a piece of Delicious candy, I am in heaven. If someone takes it away, I have become upset, thus, learning anger. I would not trust that it wont happen the next time I have a piece of candy. So I learn greed and selfishness. It continues every day of our lives unless we can become spiritually free of wants and needs.

Be at ease my brother, your faith can be true as an adult. Try not compare yourself with the children however. Jesus spoke of little children saying "of such is the kingdom of heaven" Matthew 19:14
In short, children possess the innate faith, since they are only recently departed from the presence of the lord. Do not judge yourself or condemn yourself harshly for this. Hold true and endure to your faith unto the end. Good luck brother. I leave these thoughts with you in the name of the son Jesus Christ. Amen.

When Christ said 'faith of a child', this means as innocent as a child is. A child would jump of a bridge if they were holding their mother or father's hand. Because they love them and trust their judgement. If you want to move mountains with your faith, seek God about it and pray that he would manifest this amount of faith within you. I recently overcame a terminal cancer. The oncologists told me that I would be dead by January this year. I believed the Bible was true and decided to speak it over my life time and time again. Verses like...
Exo 15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
Luk 6:48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
Mar 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Put your faith to the test. God is a good god and he wants to bless you abundantly. Just ask Him.
Mat 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Mat 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

hi i am 18, i am an adult but sometimes i am a child, as we grow older, there is sin all around us. It is harder for us to stick to our faith because we can smoke ,go to a strip clubs and sinful acts that adults can do. I am not perfect but if you read Isaiah 41:10 you will understand what i am saying. Walk with the lord and he will hold your hand. I hope i can help you. God Bless!!!!

It is because as adults we dont just believe what was told to us when we were kids. We find out that life is different, and in some way we know better. Life experiences harden us, we dont have the innocent white hearts we did as children, we know that santa clause doesnt exist. We know that somebody dressed up as him. ( i know this is a silly example, but it gets the point accross).
Our thinking and our doubts make us have less faith, because we are no longer capable of having blind faith.
Sad but true.

The world tells us it is "OK" to lie and cheat. We live in the world but must not be part of the world, Every preacher has created a different agenda about what they believe, leaving a big gap in the word of G_D.
Many are not sure what to believe .

, I think it comes from the fact that we want to fit in with society. Unfaithfulness is easier.
I have heard some say, "I have so much I'll have to give up". What is that? alcohol, drugs, whoredom, foul language,? OK, which is more important to you, the things of the world or the salvation of your soul?

Jesus teaches that God is faithful doesn't he? So why would he give us salvation thru the teachings of his Son and then make us wait forever for the coming of the anti-christ? He didn't. Jesus said the leaders of the temples were anti-christ so it only follows logically to see that Paul became the anti-christ and who does everyone follow thinking Jesus just died for our sins rather than freed us from our sins? You want to be saved, reject Pauls teachings and turn back to what Jesus teaches, for Jesus doesn't teach doubt.
