This is just another conspiracy theory meted out by those who suffer from Bush-Derangement-Syndrome, and others who believe that we never landed on the Moon, JFK was killed by the CIA, etc.

There was a video of Osama Bin Laden telling his compatriots what they'd planned. Was He part of the conspiracy, too? CNN (hardly a Bush supporting agency) has the transcript, which I will provide in the source box, so you can read it for yourself.

Quoting from Bin Laden: "(...Inaudible...) we calculated in advance the number of casualties from the enemy, who would be killed based on the position of the tower. We calculated that the floors that would be hit would be three or four floors. I was the most optimistic of them all. (...Inaudible...) due to my experience in this field, I was thinking that the fire from the gas in the plane would melt the iron structure of the building and collapse the area where the plane hit and all the floors above it only. This is all that we had hoped for."

Read the transcript. Bin Laden is describing what he and others planned. Not the U.S. government.

No, but it wasn't stopped by it. No event in history has been studied like 911. Debris was sifted with tea spoons, anyone the terrorists talk to in the last year has been interviewed or detained indefinately without charges. It's far into the realm of absurdity that there was any complicity in our Goverment that we're not aware of reguardless of how conveniently it worked out for the current administration. It is however uncontested that Bush was informed of a threat to America to American soil and he didn't devote any additional resources into investigating it.

I highly doubt our own government would kill it's own citizens. Even if, let's say, there were important people on those planes that the government wanted dead, the government has many resources and is able to carry out assassinations with much less collateral damages.
The attack on the U. S. happened partly because we pissed off a radicalist group by not showing its religion proper respect and partly because the moron we elected President blew off all the red flags.

No, that's ridiculous.

But it's basically Clinton's fault for his poor foreign policy. He was too busy trying to take credit for the good economy at the time.

I don't think it was carried out by anything called the "govternment". It wasn't done by the government either.
