Well, it does have several meanings as you may know but you said "in a violent sense" so in a violent sense only, the word dispatched means: To put to death summarily.

dispatched has a lot of angels but you might say that the king dispatched his knights to ride to your house and bring you back for a meeting or maybe to burn your farm ect. you taxi driver after you call for a pick up is dispatched when he has your address and your in line for him to pick you up.
