*A real Pastrami sandwich about 3-inches thick on light caraway-seeded rye from Kosher Delight in Mid-town Manhattan with 'yella' mustard and a sour pickle....the meat is blessed on the premises!

*Grilled fish tacos from some shack on the beach in Oceanside, CA...spicey and fresh...with bits of sand and sea

*grits with bacon and cheese from some diner in the middle of Florida swampland...I can still feel the humidity and that spoon is still stuck to the plastic tablecloth!

*Hot dogs with the works (onion, tomato slice, whole sweet pickles, mustard, celery salt) in Chicago...26 degrees with a windchill of 2 in January and this keeps you warm.

*Cuban Palomilla steak with a steaming cup of stewed black beans, toasted cuban bread, rice and a cafe con leche in Miami Beach...cures that all-night all-morning partying hangover

*Deep dish pizza from Ranalli's in Chicago. I swear one slice has 1000 calories...if you can finish one slice.

*Cannolis bigger than my fists, oozing with sweet and creamy ricotta cheese... from the North end bakeries in Boston
