just a rough guess taken from those who have responded to my questions. So it really is not a fair statement. But hey If you can make them, you should be able to take them. At least I'm not cruel about it.

probably because they're in REALITY and realistic about life. "Most" bible thumpers and God worshipers are always walking around with a smile on their face as if they're high on ectasy and think the world is a wonderful and friendly place. I mean, come the *** on, the world, today, is NOT friendly. And God is not hanging over you like a giant bumper making sure nothing harms you. Life is the same whether you believe in God or not.

You'd look that way also if you have never gotten to know God in one form or another. Your anger of life being so void would have to show somewhere.
My brother in law is an Atheist. He said he doesn't believe, but what the heck let others if they want to, doesn't matter to him.
He has the right idea. He's one that is smiling all the time.

I have noticed that these avatars are generally unflattering and their facial expression always seem either pained or in the grip of blissful dementia.

That's actually a good observation. I noticed that too, at least among the militant ones. I'm agnostic-- does my avatar represent that?
