We have a Mini DV Camcorder, and want to know what is the best way to transfer it to the PC. Should we use Dazzle 150, 200, or a different brand?

MiniDV cams have the firewire port built in. If your PC has a card with firewire ports then all you need is a firewire male to male cable between the cam and your PC.

To capture the DV video to say a MPG, AVI, MPEG2,4, etc, you need a capturing software. There are many out there like Adobe Premiere, etc.

Unless you have an ancient PC, your camcorder is designed to connect to it directly. Either via Firewire or USB2.

Try reading the manual, there is a wealth of information in it.

You can use a Dazzle, but that kind of defeats the point of having a nice digital camcorder. It will degrade the picture quality.

maximum cutting-element camcorders will pass via skill of USB or Firewire. Firewire is the quickest and maximum powerful approach, in case you do not have a firewire connection you ought to use the USB cable with the appliance you obtain with your camcorder. There could be a minimum of a USB cable and in all probability a firewire cable interior the field alongside with the appliance required to pass video clips out of your specific camcorder. regrettably using application from different camcorders or fashions frequently would not artwork, so use the appliance that got here with your camcorder, in case you do not have it you ought to purchase a sparkling version from JVC's internet site upon registration of your camcorder's serial variety etc.

If your camera is digital then you can take the stored memory from it and upload it tyou your computer using a usb cord, make sure your camcorder has a port for one. Your computer should have one. It usually is in the back. Hook em up and you should see a message appear saying a new hardware has been detected.

Hope that helps.
