our culture has never been just homosexual or heterosexual. don't forget there are bisexual people too. god didn't just make white people. he made variety. why do you think that if homosexuality were allowed that people would stop reproducing? we have successfully over-populated ourselves in the existence of homosexual people. do you think that god could have created homosexual people for another purpose other that procreating? eunuchs seemed to be pretty popular in the bible and they didn't reproduce.

Homosexuality is the norm,... haven't you been paying attention to what has been going on in the last few decades?

Also, the only reason humanity is going to be extinct, is because we've polluted the planet so severely, that nature can no longer keep up with the civilization that humans have created.
Every day you hear about places that have begun to deteriorate and die off. The scientists are baffled to the reasons why it is so.
The population of the planet already exceeds the ability of the ecosystem to recover and regenerate.
There are calamitous weather conditions occurring all over the globe breaking records and happening in ever more frequency.

The planet is dying, do you care?

That is an easy out for you because you will live a reasonably normal life. But your children will suffer a bleak and dismal future.

Its been said that its already too late, because of the strife in parts of the world thats been going on for millenia, our governents are blind to the truth that the lease is almost up and there won't be a renewal.
Because of our own carelessness, our own greed, our negligence or own inhumanity to mankind,.... and our own stupidness.

Its funny that the religous right seems to think that they will be saved from a dismal future. I just have the funniest feeling that their Judgement Day, has already come and gone, they were left behind because of their sins of Vanity & Self Rightousness among others.

The "Moral Right" just have this impression that if we openly accept homosexuality then EVERYONE will turn gay. I don't really understand it myself. I might be straight (or mostly so, anyway) but I've had my fair share of exposure to homosexual lifestyles. (Most of my friends in high school were a part of the Gay-Straight Alliance, so I became somewhat involved in the club myself as well as just knowing a bunch of homos.) I'm confident in the idea that one cannot choose to be gay or straight. That one's inclination toward one lifestyle or another is simply predisposition. Whether or not it's genetic has not been supported by genetic testing and I doubt it's got anything to do with family. Either you are or you aren't.

And it may be true (as many of you have pointed out) that it does in fact require both sexes to reproduce, but homosexuality has existed for as long as palientologists have found evidence of culture even if such acts were taboo and took place in secret and yet we were able to overpopulate the Earth. Accepting homosexuality will not cause our population to die off. It may just prove usefull in controling it.

But other than the misguided opinion on repopulation, I'm to understand that the big problem with homosexuality is a moral one. Granted some people only look so far into the topic to say "but God deemed it so" but if you were to take a look at the texts, homosexuality does have a solid base in religious morals. And that base is thus:
The act of sex is a sin unless it is done with the intent to precreat. In any other instance it's merely an indulgence and counts as Lust of the Seven Deadly Sins. Now the entire concept of homosexuality is to gain sexual gratification from a member of the same sex and cannot, therefor, be an effective method of repruduction. In light of the lack of that aspect, homosexuality is strictly Lust.
At this point I leave you to descern for yourselves whether sex for fun is a valid sin or not. Being what I am, I personally think it's just fine.

I don't think I've ever heard that it could even be the norm. In some ways it would be nice if it were, to bring our over population back down. between 2-5 percent of all populations in any species is gay, it is not the majority but it is normal and natural. I don't think that humans would cease to exist if it switched and only 2-5 percent were straight but it would make life a lot different.

Look at the word BI, it means either or, but we are suppose to have one partner in life, Bi means I can go either way right? The reason God made male and female is so they could reproduce, If he had made Homosexuals, he would have made them so they could reproduce with their own sex, If he wanted 2 men to be together, those 2 men would be able to have their own babies ,and share in the joy of producing them, he didn`t intend for couples to have to go shopping for a baby or to get a baby, but to make love and produce the baby, and if he wanted 2 women to be able to creat a baby without a man, he would have given those women the things they needed to get the job done. Now these are FACTS...yes the world is over populated but then age, and disease takes care of that, and so does war. I don`t believe he made gays ,so the world would not be over populated. Just my thought But I think GOD made Eunichs to be a chosen vessel for him, without blimish, those that were not defiled by women, but designated to him heart and soul. the Bible teaches that those tht are married will have trouble in the spirit because they care for the things of their spouse, and a Eunich would be dedicated to God alone. But you would have to check the Bible on that, thats just what I think, im not sure. If homosexuality was what God had put here, and they only were with their choice of sex, male with male, female with female, the world could not reproduce. NO crossing the fence , because making love Is what God gave us to share so we could reproduce. he had no intention of humans having sex with more then one person, inless their spouse died.

Deep question, thank you for asking. Now, I was born with a low sex drive which translates to I never chased the opposite sex. I didn't chase my same sex either yet was classified a lot as being gay because I don't have a womans influence on me. Whatever that means. However, that we are living in a puritan political world anybody who is different than the strutting idiot is going to be ostricized. At 59 I know what you say is true, being labeled as gay kept a lot of goldseekers at bay so until people understand how their labels hurt themselves and deny themselves honest pleasures, our world remains homophobic.

Well, God didn't want to have to impregnate all the women himself so he made baby-creating a two person deal....either way both male and female need each other to populate the world. People who are bi IMO just don't want to have to choose one or the other even though they have a gender in mind they favor over the other.

i think it's awfully degrading to think that god put people on this earth only to procreate. the whole "adam and steve" nonsense is retardation at its highest level. what the f*ck does that have to do with being a person? god didn't put women on this earth just to be an empty uterus, nor men to just be a penis. there are other things we have to do. sexuality is a part of our life, not the reason. i don't think homosexuality is wrong, they don't hurt anyone else, and to be honest, who another person has sex with is none of our damn business. unless that other person is me. lol. seriously, people need to get over themselves.

homophobia, that is, fear of homosexuals, is a modern problem. all civilizations either accepted or were not against homosexual activity. from rome, greece, macedonian, aztec etc, homosexuality was a common and accepted practice among all levels of society. only through the developement of christianity did homosexual activity become unacceptable.

Homosexuality is a sin in the Bible, and by it's nature is a zero population mentality.

Personally I am strongly against it in all forms...male/male...female/female...bi or whatever.

It may be hard for you to understand but it takes one male and one FEMALE to make babies.

Babies grow and become the POPULATION.

***Your powers of observation do you credit. One might note the following: We have too many BABIES in this POPULATION, and we can't feed 3/4 of the world.

So much for the BABIES is GOOD schtick.***
