sorry guys, but its not because your eye changes shape. lol

it has something to do with the amount of light being let in around a certain area. Back around the time glasses were being invented, some guy made glasses that were actually just solid figures with a tiny pinhole in the middle that you would look through and because of that it had a squint effect for your eyes and things "seemed" clearer just like when you squint your eyes. Sorry i didnt look it up, and provided no evidence, but i remember learning about it in this bioligy class.

Because you have astigmatism. Your eye is shaped more like a football and squinting corrects that problem (to a degree). I have almost 20/20 vision when I squint, so I can pass any eye test, but I need glasses otherwise.

Eye need to be focussed for clear vision. The image falls on an area called MACULA of each retina. . The lens in each eye, Iris of both eyes are to adjust to a fixed shape. For that one has to suint.
