Alright. God forgives people. I know this. But the way it seems to me, you can do anything you want in this life and then when your about to die all you have to do is pray for forgiveness and boom, instant access to heaven. Like, you could eat babies, rape 2 year old, pour gasoline on the pope and set him on fire, chop peoples limbs off and just let their torso and head drown in their own pool of blood, give people hiv and cancer, *random sadistic toture* and pretty much anything that you felt like doing as long as you begged for forgiveness. And if there is a line to where god just gets fed up and punts you back down to hell, where is it?

if you are speaking in Christian terms, you don't even have to ask for forgiveness. All you have to do is accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. No change in behavior or disposition is required. Redemption, the lazy persons' religion.

First off....have you never heard of 'the Wrath of God'? Read Romans 1:18. Yes, God can get mad and we can also make him sad. Regarding praying for forgiveness...some religions believe that you have to go to a priest and confess your sins. Not true. No where in the Bible does it tell you that. In praying, we have instant access to God. When asking for forgiveness...you have to be genuinely sorry for what you have done. God knows your heart and there is nothing that you can hide from him. It doesn't really seem fair to us that child molesters, rapists, stone cold killers and other disgusting people can be truly sorry and beg for forgiveness (if they have time!) and get to go to heaven. However, his rewards in heaven won't be as good as someone who has been a believer and always strived to do God's work here on earth.

No, it is not like that. First of all, God does not get pissed, or mad. And praying after a sin is not going to give you instant access to heaven as you said. You would need to go to a church and confess to a priest, then he will absolve you of all your sins. If you do not commit any sins after that you should be fine. No matter what you do God will forgive you, exept if you do an unforgivable act, which I think is something like swaring on God or Heaven. I am not quite sure what it is at the moment.

Yes He does. Just ask the people Sodom and Gomorrah. God will let "believers" sin and mock Him for so long, and eventually get made and bring them home.
Begging for forgiveness doesn't get you into Heaven, it's believing in Jesus' atoning sacrifice on the Cross, and repenting from your sins, which means turning away from them. If you truly ask God into your heart(and God knows your heart), you will be in Heaven.
I just want to say something to DigitalPimp. Contrary to the Catholic Church, you do not need to confess your sins to a priest to be absolved of sin. When Christ died on the Cross, all your sins were forgiven. And as far as confessing to a priest, the Bible says that their is one mediator between man and god, Christ. I was raised Catholic, was an alter boy. Read your Bible, you'll find out that the Church has been lying to you for years. And about going through a priest: read John 14:6 Jesus speaking "I AM the Way. the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father, but through me".
The Unpardonable Sin(blaspheming the Holy Spirit) can't be committed today. It happened in Jesus' day, when the Pharisees said Jesus was doing His miracles through the power of Satan, not God.
Again, read your Bible. You'll see that the teachings of the Church are in direct contrast to the teachings of God. Hell is going to be filled by people who were good Catholics.

God is a forgiving God. If and only if you are truly sorry and never do the same thing again. If you say you are sorry, but keep repeating the same thing, you are really not sorry and you use the words lightly. That is where you are really going with this question I believe.
God did that really upset thing with the flood....the rainbow promised that wouldn't happen again.
I think there are bad seeds in the group and there are more good seeds and so my answer to your question - of course - does he act on his anger, NO, not right away. I believe in judgement day and just rewards.

This does indeed seem to be the classic criticism of Christianity that because it is based on grace that it seems to be not only a free ticket to Heaven but a free ticket to sin.
Your scenario falls flat on its face because you dont know the Scriptures or the power of God, and you make a false assumption; being that not everyone knows when theyre going to die. People die suddenly, people die in their sleep, some live on endlessly in a vegatative state. You cant control it, and you certainly cant always prepare for it.
This idea of free sinning is so refuted its starting to become nauseating.
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? -Romans 6:1
For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace. -Romans 6:14
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! -Romans 6:15
Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin -John 8:11

He gets angry.
True repentance is to turn from your sin. What you are talking about is premeditated sin. What if you live a life of sin and you die instantly, and you don't have time to ask for forgiveness?! What then?
God doesn't send anyone to hell..we send ourselves.
And you might want to talk to someone about all those thoughts that are in your head...lol

I think in many of the major religions there is a point where god gets pissed off and says to hell with you. Even in christianity, though you have to look to the old testament for it.
