hey buzz, as self righteous an arogant as you are, i would never bother arguing with you, your not interested in the truth, your interested in "helping me believe". argument for the sake of heaven is the only way to come to real truth, but like i said, your not interested in that, you only want people to listen to what you have to say, and as for that, so far i've heard nothing.

Just believe dude! Of course you'll have to accept that an 800 year old man heard voices from a burning bush...

Dear mofri,

Christianity is not a religion based on just believe blind faith, but it is based on the person and works of Christ as found in the Bible. It seems that you have quite a lot of objections and difficulties- so i don't think one email can answer all of your questions.

But i challenge you to really seek out the answers to your questions, and to do so with a sincere heart. It's kind of silly to call Jesus' acts magic without have some kind of cold hard proof that it was.

There are books out there written by skeptics who challenged Christ who came to Christ (ie: Josh McDowell's more than a carpenter). Other books by Paul Little like know what you believe- give some very solid, historical evidence for Christianity.

Anyhow i don't think i can answer every single one of your questions, but i can try my best to help... feel free to email me...

Hope that helps,

Nickster

Are you from Missouri??? The "Show-Me State"? Just kidding, I know you aren't...Your proof is in the Holy Bible. You should read it and pray for understanding. If you do that God will show you the way, the truth and the Light...His son, Jesus Christ. Jesus wasn't a magician. He had powers that are very hard to understand because of being skeptic. Its good to be a skeptic in most situations today but when it comes to Jesus Christ you must learn and believe. Why don't you find a priest or a preacher to discuss this with? Better yet, just study the Bible...You are smart, you will understand if you try.

As for the contradictions as you call it in the New Testement...Think on this....You see a string of lights...your brother and mother see the same string of lights...You go to your dad and tell him about the lights....your brother goes and tells your father about the lights but it's totally different than the way you told it...(still the same lights though)...then your mother comes in and gives a lot more detail than you or your brother gave....You have all told about the same lights but in a different way....does this mean somebody was lying? No, you all saw the same thing in a different way. That's the way the New testement is...the same story told by different people...same story but just told differently...the same as with Yahoo Answers...most of us are trying to help you believe but you want to argue....we tell you the same thing but different....we love you and pray for you!

Well I am do believe however I am not a die hard Christian. But if he wiped his face on a cloth and it was imprinted. His tomb is empty. He also fed people with two fish and a loaf of bread. Other than that you really have to have faith. The way I see it is this. I go to church and live my life by treating others as I would want to be treated. If there isn't anything beyond I lived my life as a morally sound person. If there is I get to go to heaven. Personally I believe in heaven. Why wouldn't you want to believe you are reunited with all of your loved ones in a wonderful place?

If you read the book "Case for Christ" it involves an atheist that set out to disprove Jesus based on historical, scientific, and medical data. Halfway through examining the evidence he became a Christian and appropraitely renamed it.

He found the evidences were compelling and the testimony given by the Apostles would stand up in a court of law. The fact is you have 13 apostles who were eyewitnesses to the ministry of Jesus who saw all the miracles as well as him resurrected. They completely devoted their lives to spreading the Gospel even through estrangment from the Jews, presecution, torture, and even death itself. They could have stopped the suffering in their lives by just renouncing Jesus and admit it was a fraud, but they never did.

I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. -John 5:24

You really sound like a bitter man, and probably extremely racist also. I don't need people to explain Allah to me, I just accept that is who they believe in. There were just too many people that wrote down Jesus' works that they all can't be wrong. A Magician? Maybe, that's for you to decide once you have educated yourself to the highest level you think is possible. No one has to give you facts just like you don't have to give any facts to anyone on your beliefs. The world would be a much simpler place if we all wouldn't argue about our faiths and beliefs.

Christianity is not a religion, it is a way of life.
Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Holliness, etc. are all religions.
Christianity means to lead a life filled with faith, devotion, and loyalty to God's word. To profess God as your Almighty Father,Jesus as your Savior, and the Holy Spirit as your Guide and Comforter. To read and study the Holy Bible every day, and to live by those words to the best of your ability.

Sounds like you are a Jehovah Witness. Try to explain that Jesus was more than a man is impossible. The Apostles believed that he was to their death. Even the Jewish leaders were proven wrong at the cross.

Religion isn't what's important here.

It's what you feel in your heart and soul which is more important.

If you believe in God (regardless of dogma) hey, Allahu akbar!

When you feel that spiritual peace or contentment inside you, it really doesnt matter what dogma you believe.

Spirituality is more imporant than the dogma which merely serves as a guide.

Believe in God! That's it. Nuf sed.

Peace.
