I need a perscription for this drug because I've been very unattentive when it comes to school and schoolwork.

I've heard that when you go to a psychiatrist, they will make you do this test that costs a lot of money that insurance doesn't cover. Is this true? Do they always do this?

I've heard it's a lot harder to get now because college kids are faking the symptoms so they can have a perscription to profit off of by selling it to other kids.

If you've ever gotten a perscription for this or any other ADD/ADHD medicine, please tell me about what you had to go through to get it?

You would have to consult with your doctor about this. The only person that can give you a perscrption such as this is by a doctor or "shrink."
I just got tested for ADD/ADHD and my insurace covered most if not all of it. You can call your insurance company to see what their guidelines are for you getting tested if that's what you really want. I just receieved a referral from my school's counselor service and a place where I can go to test for this. I just called and set up the appointment myself.
Good Luck.

First see your own doctor. He/she will tell you whether Adderall will help you or not. This medication is available by prescription only and only a physician can diagnose your situation properly. Talk you your doctor and don't listen to rumors from people who don't know what they're talking about.
