I don't know what acid reflux feels like, but my throat is burning like crazy. I feel like belching and constantly sipping on water to ease the burning sensation.

Well first, did your doctor recommend the update in ur dosage or did you feel to do this yourself. Zoloft, as any antidepressant can increase in stomache acid, so the burning sensation, i am guess is acid reflux, call the Dr. if the up in dose was not authorized, you might be dealing with some major issues with ur stomache.

Acid reflux is sometimes caused by psych meds. I was on abilify and my acid reflux was so bad that prescription antacids didn't help. had to change my meds to risperadal. Also I was taking 200 miligrams of zoloft a day and didn't have any problems with it, but you never know. ask your doc.

If the tablet gets 'stuck' in your throat going down, you will experience this burning. Drink milk and chew bread to help aleviate the pain.
If the pill is too large for you to swallow, break it in half.
Good luck.

maybe you just didn't swallow it completely. I used to take paxil capsules and it would get stuck in my throat and the powder inside would irritate my throat.

drink a couple glasses of water the next time you take it and see if it's still hurting your throat. if so, i'd talk to ur psychiatrist about it.

You should mention this to your doctor.
