Any chance Mexico will actually create an economy for themselves and end their corruption? or will they always complain and ask the US to take in their illegal immigrants (see Vicente Fox pleading Bush to allow illegals amnesty).

If all the Mexicans who value freedom (and therefore comet he the US) were forced back to Mexico and couldn’t escape to the US there would most likely be a popular uprising in Mexico and the corrupt government would be overthrown, or atleast held accountable

Actually setting aside all the ignorant red-neck lies from the illiterate, racist, gringo Klansmen that these questions always seem to attract like flies. (It seems that Mexico bashing is the ONLY thing that a gringo redneck actually prefers to scratching his *** and boinking his sister...)

Mexico is actually doing quite well these days, Thanks for asking.

The peso vs. the dollar is almost exactly at the same level it was 6 years ago after the last election. (Its the first time in history THAT has ever happened.)

The Mexican economy is currently steadily growing between 4.5% and 5.4%, which is excellent to say the least (about 3 times better than the US)

There are currently one illegal returning to Mexico for every three that are crossing into the US. (15 years ago it was 10 for every one.) It isn't solving the American racists' problem yet, but its moving in the right direction.

And those ignorant people who love to whine that Mexicans send money home, well, dumbass, that money goes right into the economy, which creates more jobs in MEXICO, which keeps more mexicans here in MEXICO!

And for the even more ignorant, far from being the "lowest" in Lartin America, the Mexican standard of living is the third highest in the Americas, (behind Canada and the US!) Mexico has by far the most honest and stable democracy in the Latin American region (as the recent elections have proven) perhaps even more honest and stable than the US, we'll see!

(I don't mind having to answer tough questions about illegal immigration or even Mexico's problems, but honestly shouldn't there be a minimum education level for these questions, maybe grade 5 or 6, along with a literacy test?........)

As long as the Mexican poor(Castillian's slaves) continue to become illegal alien criminals and send money back to Mexico, money that ends up in the hands of the Castillian ruling class, making the Castillians richer and more powerful, the answer is:

NO, there is NO hope, absolutely NO HOPE.

It is a vicious cycle that has no forseeable end at this time.

UNLESS, the USA closes the border and deports all illegal aliens.

Deportation will benefit the USA and Mexico....

it will not benefit the Castillian Spanish ruling class....

the easy slave labor money will be cut off, they will have to develop their natural resources.

Mexico right now is the armpit of latin america, they had revolution after revolution and still elect the same crooks, their best bet is to let a foreign country run mexico,
Don J,mexico does'nt even know who their president is,and the only reason mexico is alive is because of the US dollars that are being sent from this country, trying to bury your head in the sand while mexicans are crossing the border because of how bad it's over there is one thing, but to try to even suggest that their democracy is better than the US only shows your ignorance

No. The safety valve we call a border allows the gutless Mexicans to run from their corrupt rulers rather than forcing them to demand the Constitutional guarantees of 1918

Mexico will never create an economy and be fair to it's people, and the people are too d@mn dumb to fight for their rights and make changes there. They will always complain and, without asking, their people will continue to slink across our borders and suck billions out of OUR economy unless we close our borders, deport the illegals, stop hiring them, stop giving them free medical and welfare. The only way they will be self supporting and independent of the USA is to be FORCED to go home and either wallow in self pity and squalor or fight for their rights and work for change and better lives there.

The mexican people don't want to make anything of their country. They always say how hard working they are, but none of them try to make mexico better. They just come to the United States of Welfare instead.

Mexico has a great economy, over 1 trillion. However, Mexico's population is growing faster than it's economy, not to mention the Mexican government is: The #1 most Corrupt gov in the World.
The logic behind US immigration law, was to protect & grow the economy, allow the population to grow and allow immigration every year. To allow the economy to grow and allow the population to steadily grow.
Check out the figures below. Note the ranks of total GDP in relation the per capita GDP(Mexico, Canada, USA and China)

GDP (PPP) 2005 estimate
- Total $1.073 trillion (13th)
- Per capita $10,186 (64th)
Population
- 2005 est. 107,029,000 (11th)
- 2000 census 101,879,171

CANADA
GDP (PPP) 2005 estimate
- Total $1.105 trillion (11th)
- Per capita $34,273 (7th)
USA
GDP (PPP) 2005 estimate
- Total $12.40 trillion (1st)
- Per capita $41,399 (3rd)
China
GDP (PPP) 2005 estimate
- Total $8.859 trillion2 (2nd)
- Per capita $7,2042 (84th)

According to the World Bank, Mexico ranks 13th in the world in regard to GDP and has the fourth largest per capita income in Latin America just after Argentina, Chile and Costa Rica, and it is firmly established as an upper middle-income country. Since the economic crisis of 1994–1995 the country has made an impressive economic recovery. According to the director for Colombia and Mexico of the World Bank, the population below the poverty level has decreased from 24.2% to 17.6% in the general population and from 42% to 27.9% in rural areas from 2000-2004 [1].

There is NO excuse for Mexico to have such low level living conditions. The people of Mexico have to want it, people of the US provide assistance every year, we can't want it for them, they have to want it for themselves...

Where's all that pride I keep hearing about...?

Yes, they will develop an economy once they exploit their natural resources. This may be done at first by foreign powers (the US), but ultimately it will raise the standard for Mexico.

that chance is a pretty fat chance. bush and fox both profit from illegals being here. they have global companies in there back pockets paying for their elections.
