For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18

Deuteronomy 13:6-11. Very nice.
13:6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
13:7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
13:8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
13:9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
13:10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
13:11 And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you.
And please, don't inform me that it's the Old Testament. How can the word of a perfect God become obsolete?

Could we both fit into a verse at the same time? Well I'll give it a shot, but no funny stuff; I've someone special in my life and I'm not going to mess that up over a tawdry bible verse one off! She'd be really hurt! I just can't allow that to happen. Psalm 86....Incline your ear, oh Lord; and answer me for I am afflicted and needy. Perserve my soul, for I am a Godly man. O You my God, save your servant who trusts in You! More begging and snivelling, etc. It goes on for a while. God must get such an ear ache with all these endless Mea Culpas and please, please; me; me! Still I'm with the One, who hears all and answers none. I have lowered expectations of God, after all it's Gods show. God can work the music, I'll be the monkey! It's all about worshipping God, not about me. Hey! We did fit into that verse after all, thanks for the dance Sugar!

So many to choose from, but here are two of my favorites
Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord my strength and my redeemer.
Blessings now and forever

1 Corinthians 15 : 51 - 52 .. Behold I shew you a mystery ; We shall not all sleep , but we shall all be changed . In a moment , in the twinkling of an eye , at the last trump : for the dead shall be raised incorruptible , and we shall be changed .

o lord, the god who saves me,
day and night i cry out toward thee.
let my prayer come before thee;
incline thine ear unto my cry.
for my soul is full of troubles:
and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.
i am counted with them that go down into the pit
i am as a man that hath no strength:
i am set apart with the dead,
like the slain that lie in the grave
whom you remember no more:
who are cut off from your care.
thou hast laid me in the lowest pit
in darkness,
in the deeps.
thy wrath lieth hard upon me,
and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves.
you have taken from me my closest friends,
and have made me repulsive to them.
i am confined and cannot escape;
my eyes are dim with grief.
i call to you, o lord, every day;
i spread out my hands to you.
do you show your wonders to the dead?
do those who are dead rise up and praise you?
is your love declared in the grave,
your faithfulness in destruction?
shall thy wonders be known in the dark
and thy righteousness in the land of oblivion?
but i cry to you for help, o lord;
in the morning my prayer comes before you.
why o lord, do you reject me
and hide your face from me?
from my youth i have been afflicted and close to death;
i have suffered your terrors
and am in despair.
your wrath has swept over me;
your terrors have destroyed me.
they came round about me daily like water
they have completely engulfed me.
you have taken my companions and loved ones from me;
the darkness is my closest friend.

The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.
