After the cost of physically deporting them you would have to deal with the cost of businesses shutting down because they can't afford to pay people a decent wage to make that "Made in America" pair of pants that you buy to show how loyal you are to the country you live in. Not to mention this would be lost income for the republican party because these types of businesses benefit the most from conservative business policies that deregulate the production of their goods. A better analogy, and more true, if you are a wealthy american with a large mansion employing cheap illegal immigrants as your servants, would you be willing to let anyone come and take them away? I bet they are willing to pay more than $148 to keep them.

It's a weak analogy but I'll play. What would you do if the person moves in but then stays there for 15 years? Over the years they accumulate various possessions, become part of the local economy, do work around the house etc, and you don't say or do anything. You don't take any steps to remove them. Then, one day, you decide to have the taken out of your house in the middle of the night and sent some place with just the shirt on their back. That scenario is closer to the truth then the one you describe.

Pay the money, you see your logic may seem kindness but you are forgetting one thing. He was in my house illegally, that makes him a criminal of breaking and entering. He has violated my private space without my permission. If he wasn't a illegal criminal, would it be any different. We who own our places have the right to Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. That means we have the right not to adopt anyone and not be force to think we have too. If they the illegal criminals in our society want the same rights then they have to abide by the same laws we do that live here. Legal immigrants have the right to be here, and to have the same rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness as native born Americans. Illegal Criminals do not.
We can not be force to adopt anyone just because your liberal do good-er mind think it would be cheaper to do so. That is like saying if a burglar stole from you, don't put him in jail as it would be cheaper to just give him your money and let him live with you.... VERY illogical. Think again.

He would cease to be a problem almost instantly.
Better to kick him out of the country and make him ineligible for the migrant worker visa program for 5 years. If it happened enough times and with enough publicity, the flood of illegals would race back across the border to enter legally and not suffer the penalty.

Well, let's be serious about the deportation thing. Number one, it's completely unrealistic. And as much as I despise illegal aliens in my country, we have to accept that they are here. But I believe we could come up with a guest worker program for these folks. Make it a part of Homeland Security. Either these folks sign up for the guest worker ID's or they will be given homes in Gitmo.
This way they can stop stealing our Social Security numbers.
Having written all that, we need to build the wall high and wide and man it with people that will actually keep them out. That way we can keep the brothers, sisters, cousins, etc. of the 12 million illegals already here from joining them.

Whatever it cost to send them home, it will be alot cheaper in the long run than keeping them on perpetual welfare and social programs.

Deportation would be very cheap compared to the bottom line cost of the illegal alien presence in the USA.
My HOME: One of two things, I could shoot the SOB.... that is lawful in this state, or he could call the cops and inform them that he is a DAMN CRIMINAL and needs to be in prison, OR he could get his azz moving very very quickly out of my home.
His azz would be gone, one way or the other; he would have a choice to make, alive and running for the border, or possibly dead and headed for the morgue, or prison.
CRIMINAL(illegal alien)..... get thee from my home.....

what is your point?
MY GOODNESS, DOES THIS ILLEGAL ALIEN THING HAVE SOME KIND OF BRAINWASHING SOFTWARE?
you are probably a very nice person, and just do not know what to think about these days..so you come up with this question..
"if you come home tomorrow and find a stranger living iin your home.. would you pay $148????/
WHAT IS UP WITH LTHAT?
That won't happen,
what if you come home tomorrow, and you cant get inside your house because it is roped off yellow tape, and police are everywhere, and someone in your lhouse was shot , by a drive by,? gang banger, angry, and shooting everyone in their path.. ? NOW THAT IS A GOOD SUBJECT.. CRIME, IN AMERICA AND WHO IS RUNNING THE PRISONS,?
and what just punishments do our "legal american hispanics" that are gang bangers get? DO YOU HAVE AN IDEA,? o r care,,
probaby not, it is easer and safer to keep bashing illegals
who only want, what a large majority of american males, WONT, DO, WORK, .. WHY?
why dont you come up with some interesting philosophys\
on that? $148.00 WOULD PAY FOR SOME AWESOME TATOO'S FOR OUR "HOME BOYS"
