I am sure if Bruce Lee was alive today, he could beat Jackie. Bruce Lee was a street fighter, and I don't know about Jackie. Bruce Lee would take on just about anyone off the street, and whip them. He had no fear, and was just a good fighter and martial arts guy, he loved to fight. Once he did not win in the earlier days, and he trained himself so that would never happen again, and I don't think it did.
His people were angry at him for giving away the martial arts secret of his people, so it took guts to open the martial arts schools at that time. Sorry for added info, but I really liked Bruce Lee.

Bruce Lee was the best Martial Artist to understand the true concepts and core basis of Martial Arts because he also studied philosophy and incorporated the two to find a higher meaning.
But Bruce also challenged the basis of the other martial arts as being the best overall but he still displayed a deep appreciation and respect of the other martial arts.
Jackie is an excellent choice of a martial artist and even Bruce Lee himself commented on Jackie saying that he is the next best choice, but I also have to say that Jet Li is up there with them.
Jackie is a true performer, he started out in the Hong Kong theater as did Bruce but Bruce's father was a classically trained Hong Kong Theater performer who also did a lot of movies in his time as well; so it came naturally to Bruce to be an actor and performer whereas Jackie's family placed him there for his schooling and education.
But neither Bruce nor Jackie would fight against each other, they have too much respect for one another even in the short time that they worked together (on Enter The Dragon) and add to the fact that they are natural jokesters and comedians and you have a good combination of two guys that love life.

I personally feel these two legends cannot be compared because they are legends and the best in what they do/did. Though they both come under the same umbrella of Martial Arts, Bruce Lee and Jackie have their own forms of fighting. Bruce Lee's way of fighting and martial arts mental understanding was more serious and always trying to find ways to improve it. Jackie's way of fighting is more entertaining and educational for even the youngest kid on the block.
Real "fighting" - Bruce scores more.
Entertainment - Jackie scores more.
Strength and skill- Bruce scores more(i think)
