yes Australia is a Island, continent and a country, i know America is Bigger then Australia with its popualtion, but i want to know what is the differnce between the land mass, thats including both the places that arent conected to Aus and America, aka Tasmania, Hawai etc

Oz - 7,617,930 sq km
US - 9,161,923 sq km

So our land mass is about 83% that of the US, or slightly bigger than the US without Alaska.

Oh and Australia IS a continent for the drongo above.
