How do you know which kitten is right for you? Especially if you pick it from a litter?

I would say it would be the one you "connect" with.
But really, it is more about which kitten picks you:)
Watch the cats, which one seems to come to you? How responsive is it? Do you want an active kitten or a more laid back one? I know some are more cute then others, but try to focus on the personality. Also when you "connect" with one you might suddenly find you have a name...a sure sign that you will love the little guy.

Hard to say...you just get a feeling. I will say that sometimes the most rambunctious, outgoing cats in the litter aren't necessarily the best ones. We have picked two cats that were much more meek when they were with their litter. They took a day or so to warm up to us once we got home. They are truly the most loving cats I have ever had.

If you pick a kitten from a litter, just see what you like, and see which kitten likes YOU. If both of you like each other, that is your perfect kitten.

Look for bright eyes and a clean nose and healthy coat. Play with all the kittens, pick them up and cuddle them, the one that is right for you will quickly become obvious.

Always select a pet that can get the mail, answer the phone when you are busy or at work and most of all, a pet must be able to visit the bathroom by themselves.
If not, they will be too much trouble to care for and not worth having around. What good would they be?

Whichever kitten is more responsive to you, is the best kitten for you. I went to a pound to get my kitten, and there was one that followed me around and didn't pay much attention to the 15 other people there. That's how I knew she was for me.

Watch the litter, one will stick out form the rest.
I always fall in love with the runts. My little kitty is smaller than the rest and so smart! Love her to bits.

don't go for the runt. they are the one that normally has the most problems healthwise. go for a clear eyed, clean eared, and healthy cat. see the one that is the most responsive to you. don't get an overly aggresive kitten.

well, watch them 4 a little while even play with them. soon u will find 1 that u will like.pick the 1 that run up 2 u 1st.
