Generally its only the hud that gets pierced, this does kill nerve endings in the process but it CAN increase the stimulation when the clitoral ring makes contact with the clitoris.

i think if you get bar, the bar can rub your clit while you're having sex for extra stimulation... but after you grow up and don't want it anymore - it does kill nerve cells down there, which makes the touch less stimulating.
not worth it, in my opinon.
