I've never put peanut butter in the fridge and never had any problems because of that.
If your peanut butter gets hard, you need to get a different kind. It should not do that at all.

I have never put peanut butter in the fridge and it is alright. Now I do put jelly in the fridge though.

The only pb you need to refrigerate is the "real" - all natural kind. It will say on the jar. Or if you get it ground at a health food store, that needs to go in the fridge, hard as it may get.

Your girlfriend is right. Except for the natural pnut butters...they should go in fridge after opening. All mine stay nice 'n creamy in the cupboard.

Depends on the brand. One of those natural pb's I think has to go in the fridge. But those sugary pb's like Skippy & Jif don't have to because of all the preservatives & salt.
