Remember when you were in kindergarden and the teacher told you all to get into a circle and she said something in one kids ear and he had to tell the other person and so on and so on. It was always nothing near to what the teacher told the first kid. Never believe gossip that is why it is called gossip.

my ex who is a spiteful byatch would take just about anything that was gossip about her and make it true. Just for spite, no matter what it makes her look like or anything. If you spread a rumor or gossip that she's a lesbian I'll bet my next 3 years of income that she'll become a lesbian just for spite. But don't let her know I made the bet cuzz then she won't do it to spite me.
