I'm a Christian, and there are some things that I really don't have an answer to -- but I believe anyway. A sense of right and wrong, for one thing -- we all have one, but we're not all on the same page. And how about Rousseau's Social Contract? I shouldn't be at all concerned about the things of this world, so wouldn't I make a great slave? And why would I go along with anything my government says I have to do if I don't believe in it? "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's" but why vote?

I know that's more of the government end of things, but these are questions that I can't answer -- in the same way that an atheist shouldn't have morality (no God = carbon life forms & no need for morals, they're all relative), but yet they somehow do have morals that they can't explain. I've resolved to live with the inconsistencies and worship God anyway. Plenty of evidence FOR the existence of God, by the way.

There are none. Many for, but none against. If people believe in Christ and follow Him, what is it hurting? Not a thing. If you die without Him, what is it hurting? Just you-- for eternity.
And for those who said science -- science is God's making. His creation. Any logical person could figure that out.
But then you asked about Christianity. Not about the existance of God. And I already answered it. What other "prophet" "god" or whatever -- rose from the dead? Changed history in the same way that Jesus did? None. Some have tried, but none have had as great an impact.
May you find Jesus, and allow Him to "unbamboozle" you. His peace has that calming, "unconfusifing" effect on people.

None really. The same way there is no proof that elves don't live under my house or a giant turtle didn't puke up the universe.

That's not fair. What I'm trying to say is: the contention that "God" exists and "Jesus" is his son, and both rule all humanity is not falsifiable. In other words one would have zero reason to believe it, yet no way of disproving it.

Too many religious zealots think that because something cannot be proven false, it must be true. But try the long math on that one (or keep it simple and read the 1st paragraph again).

1) Jesus claimed many times that those around him would still be alive at his second coming. His generation died out around 1,900 years ago, which would make Jesus a false prophet, and thus we need not worship him.

2) The virgin birth, miracles, ministry, crucifixion, and resurrection was evident in over 16 different Pagan savior gods, which all existed before Jesus, so his entire life is in question here.

3) Jesus' crucifixion is usually dated at around 33 C.E. The first gospel (Mark) is typically dated to around 70. That's a 37 year gap (I think I did my math right there) between the time Jesus died and the time anything about him was written.

4) Jesus' life, from the gospels, was extraordinairy. In Jesus' days, it was common for great people to have statues and coins made of them. Yet not one statue or coin depicting Jesus has been found that can be traced to a time before the year 400 C.E.

5) Jesus could not hae been the Jewish Messiah. The messiah would be a direct descendant from King David through David's son, Solomon. He would be descended through his [Jesus'] father. Yet in Christianity, he has no biological father, as Mary was impregnated by the Holy Spirit. This eliminates him from being the Messiah. And for those who say he was descended through Mary in the 3rd chapter of Luke, that is a false apology in two ways: 1) Luke 3 says Jesus descended from David through his son Nathan, not Solomon. 2) Luke 3 specifically says that the genealogy listen was through Joseph, not Mary, as apologists say.

6) Jesus said, "I and the Father are one". Jesus couldn't have possibly been God, as in the Old Testament, Numbers 23:19 says that, "God is not a man that he should lie...." Jesus refers to himself as "The Son of Man". Psalm 146:3 says, "Put not your trust in princes, nor in the Son of Man, in whom there is no salvation." This is an essential condemnation of Christianity from the Bible.

7) The Bible contradicts science, mathematics, history, and itself far too often to be a reliable document.

8) The Christian Church didn't have an official Bible until around 325. There were over 25 gospels that weren't added to the Bible. Is there something Christianity was trying to hide away?

Hope those helped.

Easy targets are the Flood (there's no hydro- or geo- logical way that so much water existed on Earth at one time), the Resurrection (and how impossible it is), and the paradoxical nature of a theoretically all-powerful God (making a stone so large he couldn't lift it). There are plenty others, and even more about these three, but I can't place them.

There are literally dozens, if not hundreds, of sites listing the contradictions of the Bible. One very nice site is http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com

Well, you can go for a lot of stuff: atheism, darowinism, paganism, you know...pretty much anything that doesn't support the truthes of the Bible. But hey, they don't really prove anything. They'll simply let you feel secure in your decision to turn away from Christ. Hopefully you think twice about your decision because there's lots of proof for Christianity if you're willing to learn.

there r none....if everything could be explained, like the floods, thn wat kind of God would he be? BTW, about the floods. it doesnt mean the entire world was covered with water. It could have been localized. And if it was the entire world, there is more than enough water for that. Do you know how far down into the Earth the water travels? Miles into the crust. There is plenty of water for a worldwide flood.
