do you believe our government should have tackled this issue years and years ago?i mean its really not the actual immigrants fault,lack of law enforcement is more like it.i have a hard time believing that there is not enough resources to enforce immigration laws.serious question here.your thoughts?

It isn't most of the illegal immigrants' fault that their life in Mexico blows dead donkeys, it's the corrupt Mexican government's fault. It IS the illegal immigrants' fault that they BROKE THE LAW because they CHOSE TO.
It is the American government's fault that they prefer kissing illegal butts for votes to upholding the law. There are plenty of resources for immigration enforcement. Get rid of all the Pig's Earmarks and there would be plenty.

Unless Jennifer has a native American name accompanying it, I truly think that you (nor none of us who aren't TRULY Native) have anything to say about immigration. Thank god they didn't stop the Irish from coming.... but they did try, along with the Chinese and everything else. This issue WAS tackled by the Texas Rangers about the time of the Zimmerman telegram in WW1. They killed a lot of Mexicans with "no right to be in Texas" so they used death as a weapon and still immigrants came. I am not Mexican and about 12.5 percent native a. I know that Mexicans are just the immigration scapegoats for right now. Watch Gangs of New York (not completely historical but some parts are) and listen to the arguments presented against the irish, compare it to Conservatives of today, and remember that that movie was made before immigration became a big deal, so there was not a big want for arguments about immigration, that came with terrorism and fear... And as far as terrorism goes the 911 terrorists came in from canada. All terrorists entering from Mexico have been caught (that we know of) Oh well to answer the question, immigration is just one more thing for us (I am a citizen of el etados unidos) Americans to complain about, and there is no way to stop it. We can't control a border half the size of the Mexican border from Iraq to Syria with 150,000 troops, how are we going to control ours (I am in no way insulting the military as I am a former marine tambien) gracias para descuchar

The immigrants really do perform jobs Americans won't do. Just tonight on our local news, there was ANOTHER report of chemical pesticides being dumped on field workers by accident. Do you think little Kyle or Ashley's parents would allow their children to be put in such a dangerous position? Do you think that any Anglo-Saxon American would stand for such hazards in the workplace?
Heck no. They'd sue the pants off of the farmers and chemical sprayers. Before you know it there would only be a couple of large companies producing food. You can bet your bootstraps that Haliburton and the Texas Oil Cartel would be in on this deal and in record time, they'll have us paying $20.00 a pound for grapes, while guys like Bush and Cheney live the lifestyle of an Iraqui dictator.
Keep our illegals and keep prices down.

I dont blame the illegal immigrants as much as I do the Government.
If I was stuck in a country as corrupt and backwards as Mexico and I thought my family could get a better life in another country and they didnt really seem to care if I moved in and they would even help pay my way I would probably cross the border as well.
That being said, you enter a country, you are accountable to their laws, so we need to start enforcing our own laws and get a handle on the situation.

All this would not be happening if 9/11 did not occur. But people who have been here for over 3years they should have the right to stay. This has been their way of life and they have gotten use to it. What makes all this bad is that we have so many bad people in this world and we can not pinpoint them just by looks. Our very own Americans are killing and sexually abusing children. Raping woman and murdering who ever they want for what ever they want. The world has gotten screwed up and out of control and all because they want to control situations. Or because of Money. When will we as americans see the TRUTH and Truely fix the problem....

Many years ago the INS would sanction employers who hired illegals. What happened? If all American Citizens refused to buy a certain kind of soda pop they would go out of business plain and simple. It is illegal to bribe a police officer, you will get in deep you know what if you do so. Why not apply it to the employers. We need good legislation let us all vote as one voice to be heard seriously and get a working solution.

Its been a problem since the sixties when immigration started to increase. The first amnesty in the 1980's did what many of us said it would which was to encourage more illegal immigration. Our government has been asleep at the wheel on this one.

they dont fix the problem becuase its not a government priority... they r too busy trying ot fix the deficit, fighting the war, spreading democracy (ironicly through the barrel of a gun lol), and (i hope) fixing our decaying public schools. They probably dont care about the immigration but act upon it to get votes...
i honestly dont see a problem w/ it because they help out our economy... during that 1 day protest the state of city of LA lost 1 million dollars worth of revenue... imagine if they were gone for a whole year... thats 365 million dollars gone... and thats just LA... CA would be suffer and indirectly so would the US. Right now CA is the 10th largest econmy on the EARTH... w/o their help this woulnt be possible.
illegal immigrants who work the feilds all day for less than minimum wage or benifits make it possible for your produce to be less expensive... the cost of living would rise of we got rid of them.
I say make it easier for the illegals to gain amnesty (but make english and basic knowledge of US history a requirment)...
I would also like to add that passports where a part of communist policy to contain, control, and spread communisim efficiently... b4 ppl of all nations could easily flow move between countries w/ ease (this is still true for those countries in the Eurpean Union)...
so my point is get rid of all this pasport mumbo jumbo but keep the custom agencies to make sure we dont get any illegal substances imported/exported to and from the US.

the 9/11 guys came in through canada... so y not build a wall up there too? after all... it would be easier for canadians to sneak over here because they blend in w/ crowds easier because they r white.

Senators and congressmen as well as governors support it with their actions and turning an blind eye on this issue. Just think about it forr a min.
