I am getting fabric to make a valance for my shower

However I want to attach it to the celling, then it hangs like a normal valance,. but the valance starts at the top of the wall, or celling.

I have seen this in model homes before.

do they staple gun the fabric up their . i just dont get how to do that?

Use a cornace board. Basically a long strip of wood is attached to the ceiling. To that, you attach your fabric by using a staple gun. I would attach the fabric to the board first, then attach it to the ceiling next. I would suggest to Scotch Guard the fabric to prevent moisture damage. This will not be easy to take down and wash, like a shower curtain, so you should do as much as you can to prevent hassles in cleaning in the future.

But a spring loaded shower curtain rod and if you ever take it down it won't leave marks on the wall. If you use the same color as the shower curtain below it will make the celling seem much higher. Also you can cut a strong plywood to fit over your bathtub when not in use and make cushion with the same fabric. That way you can cover the tub when entertaining and it look like a window seat. It will give your bathroom a more luxurious and polished look.
