What is your favorite gnostic gospel?

P.S. If you are opposed to the gnostic gospels, don't answer, I want to know a good gnostic gospel, not why they are evil. And why not give me a few petty thumbs downs while your at it too? They'll certainly reflect well on you character.

the gospel of Thomas is my fave although i recently read the gospel of Judas. Some of the stuff in there is far out, a totally different spin on Cod and creation. TOTALLY different.

Gospel of Thomas is quite interesting, but there are some other good ones too, like the Apocalypse of Adam.

While not specifically Gnostic, the most interesting non-canonical work I've read would have to be the Infancy Gospel of Thomas. It shows a juvenile Jesus who is prone to fits of temper and ends up using his powers in a rather unfortunate way (let's just call him Child-Killer Jesus). Some of his fits of temper there echo some of his angrier moments in the 3 synoptic gospels (Mark, Matthew, Luke), though he is less prone to abusing his powers (aside from that poor fig tree).

I like the gnostic gospel of Phillip which says that women like me can't get into heaven unless we become men. It's such a great progressive and feminist message!

I do not have the answer to your question and you can get this deleted from you answer board if you wish. i just wanted to give a statement on what you had to say at the end. I will not give you a thumbs down just because that is your belief or what you like to listen too. I may feel it evil but you may get something different out of what you listen to. Basically I just wanted to let you know that just because I feel if what you believe is wrong does not mean I discriminate you. I respect all religion and wish the same in return!

Only Satan could rejuvenate such interest in items which were declared heresies anywhere between 1,800 and 1,950 years ago.

"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who shall privately bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, bring swift destruction upon themselves". (2 Peter 2:1),

You fit the bill, pal.
