it definitely affects your eyes. not because of too much staring at the computer but because basically, the eyes are doing too much of a job in a day. the eyes undergo the same stress when you read a book for 24 hours non-stop or you do computer work.
but with the computer, the eyes also experience the exposure to radiation.
whatever job you do using your eyes, make sure you get them to rest. just like any other part of the body.
it is always better to have the natural look of things, and you will always envy those who do not wear high grade eyeglasses or contact lenses.
take care of your eyes, especially when these have been too tired. do not wet them like taking a bath immediately after a long computer work. a co-worker of mine had her eyes operated because of her habit of wetting her eyes after a long day at the computer.

Um..yeah. I wear glasses. I used to spend a lot of time in front of computers and TV, and now I've been wearing glasses since grade school.
I'm not saying that it will happen to you, but from what you said, that's not your biggest concern. You seem to be worried more about grades.
I'm in college, and believe me, I know how tempting it is to just sit in front of the computer (even for research) and just not do anything but check your e-mail and chat or play games. It just happens.
Try to organize yourself with a planner or a notebook and make time for all the things you need and even want to do, and I think you'll be okay.
As for the computer thing, I would sit a bit farther back, and maybe increase your screen display dimensions. A good size is 800 X 600, but you may need 640 X 480. Or get reading glasses.
Hope this helps.

The name is DIFRESH EYE-FACE. I invite you to read about it in the web site of the manufacturer in internet "Difresh Shop"

yes it will. take a walk outside, hang out with your friends, take up a new sport or hobby; that should keep you away from your computer. go to an ophthalmologist to have your eyes checked to make sure if you need glasses or not. if you do need glasses, there's always contacts.

Yes yes it does. Try to get up and do some stretches at regular intervals and ogle at the sexy secretary. Does wonders for your eyes to look at God's beautiful creations.

I don't mind wearing glasses. That's too long on
the computer. I can tell when I am by how my eyes
feel.
