Terriaki or Mesquite are probably two of the most popular. Both are also readily available in your local super market.

Being from the Northern Part of New England, Iike to make a brine using Maple syrup, bourbon, salt and water. The brine will cause the flavor to osmoss with the natural juices of the pork (trade places). For 1 gallon H2O use 1 pint Maple Syrup, 1Cup Good Bourbon and 4 Cups salt. Depending on the size of the tenderloin, the brining should only need about an hour, otherwise it may end up too salty. Hope that this helps and happy grilling!!!

nothing like the Asian marinades.....
in a glass bowl
pour in soy sauce 1 cup
chopped ginger 1 inch
chopped garlic 2 cloves
brown sugar 1/4 cup
dry sherry 1/4 cup
a few red pepper flakes 1/2 teaspoon
I never measure so do this according to the size of your pork tenderloin... mix all together and then pour over meat and let rest in refrigerator for at least 3 hours....then grill or roast in the oven...

I like Old Bay as a rub and leave it on overnight...make sure to rinse off the brine if it was a frozen loin. My last loin I made was too salty. I need to get fresh Tenderloin next time.

Our favorite is a mixture of sweet soy sauce and ginger syrup (which is for sale in the Dutch supermarket, but easy to make yourself: http://www.jannekes.eu/canning/index.html ) and little garlic powder. When you marinate for more than 2 hours the meat gets very, very tender!

Enjoy, it's really great!

Try a balsamic reduction, it's scrumptious!

1 cup of balsamic vinegar
some cracked pepper
1 teaspoon of sugar

Bring to boil and simmer on low until it thickens.
