You'd do great at a silent retreat. You could offer your services in the spiritual community in teaching others to do the same.

My grandpa's like that. My mom and I have a little running joke about it. I currently hold the record for the longest phone conversation at a whopping 5 minutes and 37 seconds. I think she holds the record for the shortest at 45 seconds. Average, he talks to us for about two and a half minutes.
Honestly though, we joke about it because it can be a little hurtful. We know that's just how he is, but sometimes it would be nice to be able to visit with him. We go to his house, and we know he's glad to see us, but he says almost nothing to us. He just sits there watching the TV--usually a ball game or westerns--throwing in a question or two sometimes, other times, he says absolutely nothing between hello and goodbye. When I'm there alone I try to stay for half an hour, but my mom only stays for about fifteen minutes (probably because I live out of town and she doesn't). One can only take so long of feeling ignored before leaving.
I think my grandpa gets lonely sometimes, but you'd never know it for the amount he says. It's gotten to the point that the family doesn't go over more than once a week. They'd go more if he would talk to them.
If you're happy being alone, then that's fine. But if you get lonely, maybe you should really think about making an attempt at developing some conversational skills.

I usually use that when i give my husband the ice cold treatment. That's a real feat for a woman to accomplish as we tend to be so verbal. But I suppose that's good for the soul to meditate ,pray and experience some silent moments in life. You're still too young to acquire that habit as you call it. Leave that to the old, lonely people.

I think there are other people like you.
What is your line of work? What do you do with your days or nights?
I am a linguist and sociologist, so I would enjoy getting your answer to this. I'll put it on my watch list, though I haven't figured out how to access that.
I'd think you may have an enhanced ability to listen and think things out. What are your strengths? What skills do you have?

Seriously, have you really counted it all out to know it's 15 minutes? How many words does that make?

I don't see anything wrong with it. Some people just don't talk as much.
