forget the City's in the UK .Its the villages that are the pretty,unspoilt places especially in the Yorkshire dales where you can still leave your doors unlocked,walk at night to the lovely village pub,leave knowing you wont be approached by little thugs ,arrive at your front door ,listening to the owls and other wild life and if you have spent a few extra hours in the company of friends(most country pubs let you stay a little longer as there are no police to be seen)you will have the pleasure of the dawn chorus of birds as the country side is full of them
