I don't really know how to respond to that. He's not, really. I'm 18 and he's 25. Sure we flirted a bit back and forth when I was 17 but we didn't date or anything.

So what do I say when someone, even my FRIEND, says something so hurtful?

Just say to her that it's hurtful to hear that about your boyfriend and your 18 which is legal, where im from anyway and you would appreciate it if she would'nt say that anymore as something like that can stick. I have a friend who's 36 now, when he was about 30 he was going out with a 18 year old girl, she was very mature for her age though, but he did get a bit of stick for it sometimes. If she is your friend she'll stop. A few of my mates having a pint one of the lads called my 30 year old (then) friend a child molester, he said "yeah but if i get caught i'll only get 10 years, you'll be ugly for life"

If a 25 year old likes a 17 year old he is not a child molestor in any way. Nor is he breaking any laws unless you had sexual intercourse then hes still not a molestor unless you did not want to have sex. But it would be against the law.

So in many ways his comment is stupid. Nothing wrong with 18 and 25 year old dating.

Do you call a person a rapist if he has many gfs and ex's. You are old enough to decide whether your friend's or other people said about him. If you don't think he is, then he is not (not just because of age differences). The best judge in a relationship is yourself. You don't mind him flirting with you then so be it. Does your friend thinks having relationship with guys of the same age does not constitute 'molesting'.

I think I'll call her your acquaintance not friend OK? Shes jealous because your dating him and not her. You are now of age. Nowadays you can't trust your so called friends. She may like him herself and is trying to put things in your head so you can be hurt and dump him. Then later she will make her move on him. I would stay away from her. She sounds more like a back stabber. Open your eyes and be wise!

My husband is 9 years older than I and we started to date when I was 18. People teased him all the time that he was a "cradle robber." He laughed at them and we have been married for over 14 years with 4 kids.

Tell her that you are no longer a child and that it is hurtful when she says that to you. Tell her that the subject of your ages is off limits.

She better watch out, because calling someone a child molester is a VERY SERIOUS accusation and she had better have some hard and fast evidence before shooting off her big mouth! She could be in a lot of trouble if your boyfriend decided to press charges against her for false accusation.

I would just let it pass. She was probably just teasing, or maybe she is jealous. Either way i think saying something would make it sound like you were being defensive and making excuses for being with him. It is none of her business and if she is a true friend then she will learn to keep her mouth shut and respect you feelings.

This is going to sound strange at first but think about it. 25 is a lot older than 18 than 28 is older than 21.

Date your own experience level.

You're no match for him. You haven't finished college, probably never had a real job, and haven't a clue what all that means. You're candy-pants to him and you're certainly not a woman yet. What could he possibly be able to consult with you about--homework?

Why would you need a comeback if the statement is not true then screw what she Say's however if she is not joking maybe you need to look into the situation before you reproduce with this man anyway
