Welllll, now here is a good question. Ever since my breast augmentation, they are ultra-sensitive and tend to perk up at the smallest thing (like the wind). LOL. However, in trying to think back to pre-surgery, I'd have to say hormones played a large role. Particularly during ovulation and pre-ovulation, a woman's hormones make the nipples more prone to becoming hard without sexual stimulation. Hope that is helpful. jb

You know what? I don't think I've ever really paid attention..Unless it was really cold outside. Then you can't help but notice. Ouch.
