I like your question. I seen it here before and even answered it. Where do infants and people of a young age go. Well, remember what our Christ Jesus said. " Suffer the young children to come unto me" Close enough.
Its about time that the people of the Earth stop comparing God with religion. The two don't mix at all. Like water and oil they separate.
Religion is a man made up theology with a little god, small "g" thrown in. Religion is for man. Its a way of using people and controlling them them to keep the money coming. Realize this!
Those little babies you mentioned. If its a new born they were just nine months previous in the arm of the Father Himself. That's where we all come from. If they die in unawares they go back to the Father who sent them.
Everyone of us is required to be born of water. Grow up to serve God. Then die in the flesh to immediately go back to the Father that sent us here in the first place. Everything I have told you in this answer is contained in the volume of the Book. The Word of God. Study to show yourself approved.><>

This is easy:
The Bible says that where there is no LAW sin is not imputed. A baby has NO clue about the Law of God. There fore nor does a retarded individual or maybe even a young child, so they go to heaven. It is when you understand that you have sinned against a Holy God. That is when you are accountable.
There are missionaries in every part of the world. The Bible says that just looking at creation tells you there is a God. So some fella in a tribe looks at creation, he can understand that there is a God. The Bible also says that if you draw nigh unto God He will draw nigh unto you.
SOOOOO, if a fella in a tribe realizes by looking at creation that there is a Creator, and tries to draw to God, God WILL draw closer to Him and reveal the TRUTH.
This is what the Bible says anyway!!! God is AWESOME!

Well, I do know that in Catholicism, unbaptized babies who die got to Purgatory. Some branches of Christianity believe the go to Heaven, and others feel that they go to Hell, even though they are just babies. This is because all people are born with "Original Sin", which comes from Adam and Eve. All children of different religions, even if they have never heard of Christianity, go to Hell. That's just the way it is. And I think as long as a Christian asks forgiveness before they die, they will go to Heaven. Even someone who has murdered and raped several people can go to Heaven if he has repented and asked forgiveness before they lethally inject him. While none of this is fair, it's how Christianity works.

IF YOU ARE STUDYING YOUR BIBLE YOU WILL KNOW THAT ANYONE UP TO THE AGE OF 7 IS NOT HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR SINS THEY ARE NOT WITHIN THE AGE OF REASONING SO I BELIEVE THAT ALL BABIES AND SMALL CHILDREN AND EVEN ADULTS WHO CAN NOT KNOW RIGHT OR WRONG OR THE ABILITY TO REASON ARE GOING TO BE IN HEAVEN NONE OR US WILL EVER BE AS SINLESS AS JESUS I BEG TO DIFFER ON YOUR STATEMENT THAT CHILDREN ARE NOT EXPOSED TO RELIGION IF THE PARENTS ARE DOING THEIR JOB AND TAKING THEM TO CHURCH YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED AT HOW MUCH THEY DO KNOW AND REMEMBER AND SING BUT THEY CANNOT REASON WHY THEREFORE THEY ARE EXEMPTED AND IF THEY DIE WILL GO TO JESUS AS FAR AS SOMEONE IN A REMOTE PART OF THE WORLD THAT IS AN ADULT THAT IS A DIFFERENT MATTER AFTER PEOPLE ARE SAVED THEY SHOULD TRY AND THAT IS WHAT WE DO WE GIVE IT OUR BEST AND PRAY GOD KNOWS OUR HEART

To my understanding is once you are saved you are saved. Children that age do not make conscience decisions to be sinful so they are already saved. It is sad because God gave us was of life not "organized religion" and we (humans) ruined these simple teachings by adding more rules, finger pointing, judgment and such to them.

All who die regardless, go to hell, which is nothing more than the common grave of mankind where they wait for the resurrection. How come you answer with your own opinions? Did you not read? ALL FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD. I see no exceptions here.

children are pure and honest, even as babies - God understands this...they are subject to whatever adults teach them, so if adults teach them nothing, then the children are not held accountable for not knowing anything about God.

All children are protected by God's grace until they reach the age of accountability.... until they understand what sin is, they aren't there yet.
