Go for products label "glue" like Got 2 Be Glued Styling Spiking Glue ($6.99 at Walgreens). Ups: it is wind tunnel tested and water resistant so your hair will stay. You can recycle your look for 2-3 days!!!! Downs: you need to buy a clarifying shampoo like Pantene's Clarifying($4.49), Got 2 Be Unglued Shampoo or any other shampoo with the words "clarifying or "deep cleansing" because it would take at least 2 hair washes to take it off.

It depends on whether you have curly or straight hair. Blow it dry with a wide tooth comb. Flat against your head. Use Paul Mitchell's "wax works" that is thick enough to handle almost any hair. Use an amount that is just less than u think u need. Smear it all over your hands, then just pat it around your head. Then take your fingers tips and bury them into your hair and pretend like you are scratching your head but with your finger pads not nails. Mess it all up. Then look and see where you need to either pull it out or flatten it. You are set to drive the girls crazy!

If you want a straight look then use a flat iron after you have dried it. Then apply wax works as you are styling the look you want by pulling and pushing your hair into shape. Good luck!

instead of a wax, try a cream or pomade. American crew makes a whole line of waxes, pomades, and creams to choose from...I like the grooming cream the best (that's what my customers like) You can only buy this from a beauty shop. Happy hunting!
